I don't check this normally before I list something but have accidentally clicked on it maybe 3-4 times in the last month or so. Every time I have clicked on it, I get this message: "Viewport meta tag incorrect or missing". I click on the "fix it for me" button and get a message "Great job! Your listing is ready to go." but if I click on the mobile friendly checker again, I get the exact same message again. I've ignored it but was just wondering if I should not be ignoring it and trying to figure out why it's doing it. Anyone know anything about this?

I just saw this; the same thing happened to me last week. I use their SIY form so it seems everything should be hunky-dory without needing their mobile checker.

I use the mobile friendly checker on EVERY listing I do with SYI.
Just because you do a listing on SYI doesn't mean it will automatically be mobile friendly (I've been constantly pulling on eBay's ear about this for the last couple months).
If you do the "fit it" and get the "Great job" just list it. It will be fine.

Are you scrolling down enough to click on save after you have it fix it for you? On one of my laptops the screen doesn’t quite fit on my window and it could be hard to see. I use the checker on every listing.

The tool is out of date. It makes absolutely no difference in my listings save for changing my bulleted items over like one space. The listing looks fine on the two mobile phones I use to check it before and after. It also has the link repair tool which is very cool - save it's out of compliance. My listings are pretty vanilla, though.
You can use it 'just in case" as it won't hurt, but it hasn't been updated in nearly a year.

I didn't even know there was a checker, never saw it when I was listing and I use the SYI form. I admit I'm half blind though so probably missing something obvious.

If you start a new listing using SYI it is not mobile friendly and needs to be fixed.
I think most of us are just using “ sell similar” from an item we already have or have templates and they’re already mobile friendly.
I’ve been on eBay about this for a few months now.

The mobile fixer has worked just fine for me.

Last time I listed I started with a new SYI then listed the others off of it. So that would mean none of them were mobile friendly right, since the first one wasn't? Why isn't their own SYI form compliant with their mobile site?

Why isn't their own SYI form compliant with their mobile site? Great question. Why don’t you ask them and voice your concerns. But before you do that make sure your items are mobile friendly. PS: the bulk compliance finder has never worked for me. (Not an eBay too so don’t think)

I just checked my listings on my phone and they look fine so I assume that means they are mobile friendly. They are at least friendly on mine. LOL I don't have anything other than a little bit of plain text in them though so nothing that could be out of compliance I don't think, no templates etc. I guess I'll leave them as is and continue listing like I'm listing, they look fine to me.

Can you post a link to one of your items? I can check for you.
