Imagine my surprise when I googled my real name & my Tradesy closet popped up with links. I don't know when/if they changed the settings but I surely never opted into this. I use a user name for a reason--privacy. Just fired off a stern email to them. Anyone else have the same experience?

Nope - all I get are Polish generals. If I use my maiden name I get a mixture of obits and German generals.

Nope they didn't do that to me. Just obits--and plenty of them!--plus a real estate lady--probably selling cemetery plots.

Everyone with my name is 90 years old or older. I guess that's a good sign.

Yes, it happened to me to. After I was tinkering with the settings (changing my email, adding new card on file etc) my name changed from my nickname to my actual name, it happened couple of times.

tribeca - do you have an especially unusual name? yes I do--only a few people in USA w my last name. A google search of last name brings up my brother & sister for the first few pages. Makin--I think what I changed was my email preferences, as in I no longer wanted to receive their emails about daily promos, etc., nothing about my account or name or other contact info. That should not trigger revealing my real name, which is now cemented in a google search...what a mess they are.
