I'm sitting in a Petco parking lot waiting to meet two pups. They are sisters, 5 months old.
I found a local rescue that seems to be good. We want two dogs and I would prefer siblings.
I'll keep you all posted!

I wanted two siblings. They do fight rough sometimes but they also play together.
I have to get them to the vet. We were told they are 4.5 months old, they think. They think they are St.Bernard and Border Collie but I don't know. They really don't look that big.

They're so cute!!! I love their faces!
We have 2 two year old dogs, not from the same litter or, even same breed ~ but it wasn't really planned. We weren't going to get a new dog and suddenly we ended up with two puppies. One we were told was a Swiss Mt Dog/Lab mix. Yeah, there's no lab in him ~ we think he's Swissy & maybe Blue Heeler but we haven't done any DNA testing on him ~ he's not as big as we thought he'd be but he's definitely more stubborn than we were expecting. My brother has a 2YO lab/newfie mix and she's smaller than both our dogs so I'm not sure that she's mixed with newfie...

I thought the same thing Clean! We were told St Bernard and Collie. We were also told 2 girls. I think the bigger one is a boy. I asked the foster and she said she "thought" the vet told her they were both girls, red flag there. Then she said " well let's see what your vet thinks", second red flag! The bigger one is doing boy things if you know what I mean? Plus I think I can just barely make out two very small rescinded testicles. Could just be puffs of fur too.
I really wanted two females! I hope my hunch is way off.

Exhausted! They go to the vet tomorrow so maybe she will help me with some answers.
They are already mostly trained but still a huge handful. They chew everything, eat anything and fight.
Any multi dog owners have advice on the fighting? I try to break it up most of the time but sometimes I can tell they are playing.

It will get easier, I swear. At least that's what everyone keeps telling me.
I'm probably not the right person to answer, but as long as they weren't knocking stuff over and no one was crying I'd let mine fight. They seemed to be pretty good at stopping when one had had enough. If they got really out of hand I'd say "No. Enough." and the tone of my voice seemed to make them stop. Then I'd give them each a treat and a toy and try to distract them from each other.
Both mine figured out by a year what was OK to chew on and what wasn't. Though my 15YO still has some stuffed animals (at what age do they finally stop getting that crap as gifts?) that the Golden will pick up and chew on if he finds them. He's scared to go into her bedroom though so as long as they stay in there he leaves them alone

Thanks! In the yard they chase each other so that breaks it up. In the house is another story. It's like an Old Western movie bar fight! LOL

Right?!?!? Mine are about 90lbs each now and still try to drag each other through the house playing tug of war with toys ~ we have hardwood floors so fortunately they don't get a lot of traction

The vet said they are both very healthy little girls. No St. Bernard anywhere in them. She thinks some type of Spaniel, she said Brittney Spaniel and Possibly Jack Russell, but put Collie mix on the paperwork? They are a little underweight and she said just barely 3 months old. I was told 5 months. Not a huge difference and I'm actually glad they are younger.
She said let them play but if they start to snarl or yelp break it up. She said they will mostly play but will have some real fights as they try to dominate and be the Alpha. So be on guard. She said any real fight we want to break up immediately. The little one is already the Alpha. I can tell. She is also much smarter and tries to get all the food. We split them up to eat but may have to move to their own room. She said correct the food issue right away or it will be a life long problem. My DH said it reminds him of the Bugs Bunny cartoons where the big dog is like " Hey Butch What are we going to do today, Huh? Huh? Huh?" and the real little dog is Butch the boss.

Yeah, we didn't have any alpha-ing ~ our golden is so submissive that he tried to submit to a mini dachshund at the dog park. The poor dachshund looked so confused
Yay on them both being girls since that's what you were wanting.

I was just thinking about them this morning and was going to ask you for an update and there they are.
They wouldn't be fighting over the fuzz at this house. There is plenty of it for both of them.
They sure look like cute angels to me.

Yeah there's plenty of fuzz here too! It's just that the fuzz just laying around is no good unless one of them has it, then it's GOLD!
I'm hoping they calm down a little once they are spayed. The vet thinks they are some mix of Spaniel, Beagle and possibly Lab.
The first two breeds being high maintenance!
