Any antique doll collectors on the boards? Help please?

I've been buying vintage dolls to sell when I find them and haven't had much luck price-wise. I found this one Saturday. (The link is to my active auction). She's unbranded so after some brief research I just started an auction Sunday eve. Well, she had a bid within an hour and now has 19 watchers. Does anyone on the board know about antique dolls? I'm comfortable letting mystery vintage stuff price itself at auction but am now curious about what I have. So any and all info would be really appreciated. TIA!!

ETA- how interesting. That's the listing I was complaining that my full description wasn't visible unless you clicked a "see full description" button. It looks the same today but has a different snippet of my description showing before the click-thru.

My guess is that dolls of 'color' from that era are very rare, therefore worth more $$

Did you try finding an antique doll group on FB to ask? It's so hard (IMO) to ID some of those dolls ~ they all seem to look similar and most have their maker info hidden under their wig near the top/back of their head ~ if they're marked at all

You may be right... the bid jumped from $46 to $76 this afternoon with 2 more days till it ends. My fingers are crossed too!

Ha, Ebay just sent me an email about your doll with a countdown clock in the message and a big VIEW ITEM button! I didn't even have it on my watch list, I just looked at it. Heaven help us, Ebay may actually be doing something right for a change!
