I think this is a good thing for us. These buyers return for store credit only, not a $ refund. They don't have to claim something is wrong with the merchandise. Then Tradesy has to resell it. Win, win, win UNTIL (and this is a big caveat) Tradesy puts it up for resale at rock bottom prices and further drives the race to the bottom. Okay, so it's not such a good thing.
Meanwhile, I just had some money transferred to me from them and it was much slower getting here than Paypal is.

Problem is, from what several of you have posted, buyers there ARE now claiming flaws, probably to get their cash back.

I sold an item on 4/25 and my funds were available on 5/3 which is 8 days. I did re-verify.

I think that's one place where this concept is falling apart - false flaws - and why they raised their commission. There's a new service they've partnered with which is on-site returns at various 'return bars' - apparently people would rather return something in person, but it also means that sales have gone up. Again, if they stopped pushing such a narrow sector of goods in their bulletins (I'm really really sick of the GucciChanelLVblahblah emails) they'd do better - what about Career Dressing? Casual Days? Beach? Cruise? Evening? The interesting stuff to be found in "other"? That's a lot of marketing potential not being used.

See article about the service in post #30.

So, apparently 2 items are being returned and my funds are being hold beyond the standard 4 days. As always, zero communication about it from Tradesy. They don't send me emails. I know they are supposed to send an email, but they have never ever sent me one (only promotional emails). Ugh.

JUst an update on my holds. They both have been released. They ended up holding funds for 8 days for one item and 6 days for the second one. I wish I knew what happened... sometimes I can see that the buyer is returning an item (it will say "pending customer service review), but money are still available exactly 4 days after delivery. With those two it also said "pending customer service review", but it took longer. I guess both of those claimed SNAD, but tradesy didn't consider it SNAD when they arrived to them. BWT, they have already sold both items for quite a bit more than I did.

Glad you got your money and that they resold the items for more. I'd like to see a race to the top! The thing about returning a SNAD to a real person who looks at it is it better be legit. Unless they rip or stain the item before they return it which takes a new level of criminal behavior.

I just got hit with the 21 day hold today. Funds for one item were due to be released today (as of yesterday), but when I logged in to transfer the money it's now not available until 7/24.

Yes, ALL of my pending items (eight of them) have a late July as release date. But in my experience it never takes that long. One item that had release date of July 23rd was cleared yesterday. I wish they told us what exactly is going on.

Add me to the 21 day hold list. Money will be available July 25th and 27th. All I can think of is that they are putting the money in some type of super fund and collecting interest? But that sounds illegal?

Robbing Peter to pay Paul? I'm betting that's it. I removed all my listings there, I didn't want to get caught in the middle of them closing down. I wonder how many items are returned claiming SNAD that Tradesy agrees with. It's going to be a slippery slope there if money is tight. We all know how easy it is to damage and let the seller worry about the money.

Can they be reported to the state AG office for this? Just wondering about the law wherever they are based.
