No idea but it's a beauty... I love the colors and it's so cozy & warm looking! The writing on the hangtag almost looks like script in another language so I'm no help with that either. Maybe someone else will be more useful.

It's beautiful. Maybe it's not that old and that's the name of the person who wove it. People were really into weaving some years ago, like in the '70s and on. But I don't know. Someone hand bound the edges with what looks like blanket stitch (how appropriate, lol.)
I'm thinking of back where I used to live--earthy-crunchy with people raising lambs for the wool and then weaving their own cloth. Boutique tag with intentional fraying. That's all I can come up with, wish I could be of more help. It looks expensive anyway.

Beautiful blanket! Nice current color. What are the dimensions? Size will help determine price, though I'm not an expert on pricing.

It's 53" x 48" -- that's an odd size, isn't it?

Is that more like a throw or lap blanket? I don't think there was much size consistency back in the day.

Probably. The colors look very 50s/60s to me.

Yes, 50's 60's colors are in. Especially aqua. Throw or lap blanket. Not a bad thing since they are multi purpose and more versatile than a regular blanket. The tag doesn't look vintage and the white string attaching it does not show any age, I wonder if it was added later. Too bad there isn't more information on it. Is the wool especially soft? Some blankets have mohair which would be a plus, though without fiber content all you can mention is how soft it is.
The machine edge stitching may help date it, but I can't help with that.
I don't know what to say about price, I would probably auction it with a high start price somewhere between $74 and $125. I didn't see anything in completed as beautiful as yours.
Key words: Chevron, zigzag, throw, lap, stadium, Aqua-that's the color showing on my monitor in the close up photo, MCM (If you are pretty certain it is 50's 60's)

I think it's gorgeous but I am not getting a true vintage vibe from it.

There are some vintage pendleton throws in completed with two color woven patterns in the $50-$65 price range. All have fringed edges. Completed pendleton If it were hand woven it would have selvedge edges on 2 sides. The machine finished edge and tag make me think it is newer. I noticed some listings give the weight which a good idea.

Well, lap blankets will be in great demand pretty soon--so that's a positive thing.
That tag makes me think it came from a boutique type store. I got the idea that it might be handmade by that tag and the person's signature, or what I think is the person's signature, but maybe that's just the name of the shop or something. You know, the fancy little shoppes that use cloth tags just like that. Where everything is one of a kind or special in some way.
It looks very aqua from here too.

The colors are gorgeous - cobalt blue and aqua/turquoise.
Thanks for all the suggestions! I'll let you know when I list it.

My opinion only from looking at the photos: I think it's new and those are tally marks on the tag. It looks machine woven by the very even weave and edging. I think it's a small shop or manufactury product - I've seen tally marks like that in items from the middle east marked on spare bits of fabric.
Whatever it is, it's really nice.
