Jamie (LB) can leap up onto that narrow bannister - it's like 1"- 1 1/2" wide" Cassie would just pitch right over and end up in the dirt.
Speaking of which, Jamie is continuing to improve, now lets Pat feed her and has not slow-walked, everything appears to have returned to normal, much to my great relief, but now Cassie is acting up. Excessive, constant meowing at night - she's happy, eating, purring very loudly (in a happy way, not in a self-calming way) but she is constantly underfoot and follows me around yelling the entire time. She only shuts up when I go to bed and then she sticks herself to my side and goes to sleep. During the day she spends her time in her usual rounds, does a little hunting and sits in her various favourite spots. I play with her, pet her, tickle her...turn my back and hear a crashing noise and she's knocked something over, or she's gotten herself stuck onto the screen door (once I found her about 4 feet off the ground, all four legs splayed out and looking freaked) and I have to unstick her. Or she has a bag on her head and is running ridiculously around like that. I caught her chasing a possum across our little road, hissing like mad. She's pushing 15 and I wonder if she's retreated to kittenhood.

Both of my cats do that at times, Chap. Somedays they're really, really needy and other days it's pffffttt.
