Still working on dealing with profound grief over the loss of my mom last September, but each day is a new day and I'm still here. Julia! I have wondered about you often over the last few months. Your mother had been a teacher, right? You had the loveliest story about her pleasure in music even when terribly ill. I am so sorry to hear that she died. It is understandable that your grief is vast. The size of the hole in your life is a testament to how filled with love and connection your relationship was. The loss is so great because what you had was so wonderful.

Julia, All this time, and I never knew your name. Thanks Val, and friends for starting this! Where I lack in computer savvy - ness, I hope to make up for it with stories and or experiences. Nice seeing some familiar names from the clothing board. Jean

Late to the party as usual, and I still don't have my avatar right...
I have 4 cats, all over 10 years old and getting cranky.
I've actually been hanging around the Clothing boards for a lot of years, mostly lurking. I used to be flaxen99. I don't sell and I'm in Australia and I haven't been buying much lately, either.
"misspettigrew" is from the book/film "Miss Pettigrew Lives for A Day". My real name is Jen.

Howdy everyone!
I'm stephintampa and yes My name is Stephanie (another one!) and I live NEAR Tampa.
I've been selling for 3 years or so now, and a bit over a year full time and as my sole source of income. Scary but the freedom from not having a boss has been SO NICE.

Gee...about time I introduced myself.
I am denise15601 (no imagination when I started to sell almost 10 years ago. I sell clothing and collectibles.
Blessed to be a 13 year survivor of Stage 4 breast cancer and also blessed to be in my second remission. Will be on chemo for life---fun times.
Happily divorced 20 years now and live alone-just me and rooms full of eBay stuff. Two daughters and the most adorable grandson Jaxson-almost 3.
I used to be a computer programmer, but once divorced, switched to a cleaning service to pay off exhole's huge bills that he kindly left to me. Once the BC hit, it was really hard to clean houses, and I thankfully found eBay which is a real God-send.
Gee-lots of Pitsburghers! Go Steelers!!! (next year). I live in Greensburg-35 miles East of Pittsburgh.

Hi all, thanks for the invite, Val!
I know a few people here, always nice to see familiar folks!
Been selling on eBay for what seems like forever and still learning something new everyday.
I'm Lianne, known as CJ. I keep meaning to change my User ID from cactusjakey, but as long as my 16 yr. old yorkie ..Ajax aka "Jakey" is around, I'm keeping the name. DH & I also have another yorkie named Aero. They are not spoiled, nope, not at all.
We live in a small city outside of Mesa, AZ. Is anyone coming to the Superbowl?

Hi and thanks for the invite. My name is Pat and I am a shopping addict. I live in NJ with my retired husband and college-age son. I've been selling on eBay part time since 2002 and have been spending more and more time at it since quitting my reporter job a few years ago. I never posted that much in the past, but feel more comfortable to do so in this forum.

Hi! Thank you for the invitation. Nice to see so many people I have missed from the old CAB. I live outside Philly with my two cats (yes, another CCL) and I've been selling on eBay since it was fun - how many decades ago was that?

Hi -
Thanks for the invite to this board! I'm looking forward to hopefully more civility.
I'm Laurie and I live in Rancho Cucamonga (Southern CA) with my DH, three teenage boys and a supercat named Aggie. She's the most obedient cat I've ever known, never scratches the furniture or us people, never lays on the couch without a blanket, but she will beat the snot out of any cat that dares venture into our her yard.
I've been selling full time on Ebay as mykidzmom1 for 4 years now but need a regular, not-dependant-on-someone-buying-my-stuff job to get ready to pay for college.
Laurie

/wave Hi I'm Kim, it sure is nice to see friends I chat with everyday here, and some old friends and faces from the CAB. Zoesam found my store and referred me here. The CAB became difficult to keep up with after a round of changes a few years ago, occasionally I will lurk but have not really posted there in a long time. I had been a closet-cleaner eBay seller since its inception. In 2011 I officially became a business, in great part to our very own Val who I remember quite well and was very encouraging behind the scenes. (So, she in part can be blamed for the state of my living room ) We do the flea market scene in the spring/summer, so busy prepping for that right now. I live in NH. Very happily married and have one daughter who is now 6. Down to two kitties I enjoy cooking, reading, video games and Pinterest more than is healthy.

Great to see all the new folks! Kim, I can't take all the credit, I posted to ask if anyone knew how to contact you & a couple of people gave me your store name. You & Steven Tyler are on my mind, but I lost track of you ;-) Glad you made it over!

Hello all! Late to the party again! But I made it!
My name is Pam and I have been selling on Ebay for about 5 years under the ID of sunset-painter. My store is Daisy's Jeans and Other Things
I also sell on Etsy under the ID of SunsetPainter
I live in Indiana, and DH and I have 3 dogs, a Jack Russell mix and 2 German Shepherds. I love cats and could easily be a CCL, but I don't think the dogs would have a big sense of humor about that!
Thank you to those who invited me. I'm glad to see "old" friends here and look forward to making new ones.

Looking forward to a few feet of snow tonight while my family has the flu. Good times. It is nice to be here, thanks for thinking of including me.

Kim, was it you who bought Lilly Pulitzer dresses from me for your little girl? It wasn't through my store, but through the CAB.

Thank you Moonlit for those kind words. Yes my mom was a teacher. Sorry for the hijack. How are you and your mom doing? I think about you. Julia, how sweet of you to be concerned! Mom was tried numerous treatments over the last year, but the cancer was resistant to all of them so it has grown a lot. There are no more non-chemo options left. She has started into being permanently on chemo. (Like Denise, who has been a great help with advice.) I am very hopeful that this will get the cancer back under control a bit. Mom is having a rough time, but we can adapt. She keeps apologizing to me for needing help and not being able to do much. I tell her that I don’t care if she ends up rooted into that recliner as long as she is still here for me to hug and talk to. Her companionship is enough.

Hello, Kim! How is your little girl? (I seem to remember she was an endearing child who had some struggles with hyperactivity.)

Thanks Moonlit! Do you know what chemo your Mom is going to be on? Forgive me if you told me-I am currently counseling about a dozen ladies and getting confused a lot. Of course, I can claim chemo-brain.

Kim, was it you who bought Lilly Pulitzer dresses from me for your little girl? It wasn't through my store, but through the CAB. I believe you gave them to us, small imperfections or something (that we NEVER found, BTW lol) They went on to my niece last summer. Leah got two summers out of them, and honestly would not willingly let them go to her cousin had it not been for the fact she could not do them up any more.

Hello, Kim! How is your little girl? (I seem to remember she was an endearing child who had some struggles with hyperactivity.) She is well, thanks. First grade, reading like a pro, dropping teeth left and right, non-stop chatter, bespectacled. Still bouncing off walls, but Mommy has relaxed somewhat now that she is potty trained. I remember you and your mom well, still follow your etsy store and put things on Pinterest BEAUTIFUL photos this lovely lady takes, folks. Leah with her cousin (the Lilly dresses recipient), July 2014.

There were some small flaws and that's why I didn't have them listed. I'm glad your daughter enjoyed them and that they're being passed on. It makes me feel good to know they were well loved. Good thing you're a thrifter because clearly you have a mini fashionista on your hands. It's great to see you here.

Hi everyone, with a special thanks to zoesam for the invite!
I've been around for a while now, so a lot of you are probably familiar with my numerous anecdotal posts from Kevin's board. I'm getting close to my one year anniversary selling on eBay. In that amount of time I've managed to become a TRS. How long that will last, is anyone's guess. I'm just flying by the seat of my pants. Learning as I go. And currently buried in inventory. Which is better than snow, IMO.
I'm a retired Baby Boomer with 3 grown kids and 2 grands. Former East Coast native. My SO's pet nickname for me is Yankee Bitch. haha But Bets or Damn Yankee will suffice, thank you!
Crazy DL at heart, but since my last adopted baby passed the Rainbow Bridge in July 2013 (old age), I've still not gotten over losing her. Absolutely love German Shepherds (had 2) but I've got my sights set on a black Lab for the future.
It will probably take me a while to figure out navigating this board. But meanwhile, looking forward to lurking and posting as time permits.
