Jo....did you hear that Latrobe is supposed to get a GoodWill? Guess it will be where Action Hardware was. I seldom get to Latrobe, but since I get chemo by Mountain View, I might be heading that way sometimes!

We got a flyer a few weeks ago that they were accepting donations but I'm not sure when they will open. I need to stop & see if there is anything posted. It's out of the Johnstown area - not Greensburg like the Goodwill on Donahoe Rd. I'll let you know if I find out anything~

Jo-do you go to the SA in Latrobe? I hate that place since they staple the price tags over the brand name.
I get to Latrobe twice a year for my eye doctor appts.
Maybe I will see you at the Gbg GW sometime.....but I don't get there until Fridays after chemo. Half-price sales are good, but I never find anything on sale. Don't appreciate the prices going up.

I used to love the GW in Gbg but hate the price increase! The SA in latrobe is getting high too. I only go on 1/2 price day. I could probably list from my "stash" for a couple months - at least until yard sale season!

I do like St Vincent de Pauls. But I seldom go to mine in Gbg, since parking is so hard to find.

Hi everyone! I'm Deb in real life and dressy*dames on ebay. I'm not a frequent poster but that may change since after browsing I see a gardening board.

Welcome Mimi and Deb
Nice to see new faces
Lots of great content here for you to peruse, selling stuff and fun stuff too.
I see Deb has already discovered the gardening board. It's a hot hangout right now as everyone is planning their spring gardens.
Great to have you on board, if we can help you navigate around don't hesitate to ask.

Thanks Shirley and Sunset! I'm happy to be here. Gardening is a passion of mine and I'm itching to get started. We have two months before anything is safe from frost though. Sigh.

Hi Deb! I can relate - we're hitting high 60s and even some 70's, but the stores won't get the potted plants and hanging baskets in for weeks yet because of the cooler night temps Very annoying. And welcome!

I am with you-I am in PA and we can't plant until at least mid-May. Heck it is supposed to snow in 2 days....

Val I wish we were hitting those higher temps.
Denise I jumped the gun two years ago and planted my front flower beds May 1st because I was having a party the next weekend. Don't you know we had frost every single night in between?!? I was out there each night with every spare bedsheet we owned covering them up, then carefully uncovering before the sun rose too high. Ugh! I learned my lesson for sure!
Hi kid gear! I'm happy to be here too!

Wow. I better stop complaining. We can plant here earlier than May. The stores should start getting hanging baskets in about 2 weeks. We'll have cold nights thru April, but very few (if any) freezes and the ones we might get won't be a hard freeze.

We should have nice weather in early May, and a lot of people pick up the flower and veggie plants. So by the it is safe to plant-the end of May, the veggies have really been picked over.

Plants are just slowly starting to come into the stores here.
We are supposed to get to 80 around Monday so planting season is almost here.
My floral garden has started to sprout already, the alyssum is always the first to come up, and the morning glories have also started to peek thru. I will be putting in the wildflower seeds and some stepping stones this weekend and then just let it grow as it wants. Hopefully I will get lots of butterflies and hummers again this season.
