Howdy folks! I'm a newbie to the VSC but have been on eBay since 2001. I live in Hayesville, NC ~ deep in the Nantahala National Forest of the Blue Ridge Mountains! I live with 2 beagles (Kirby & Dylan,) a cat (Lucy) and an adorable Chihuahua that adopted us a few years ago. Oh yea, hubby Joe lives here too! He is retired & loving that! I lost the job I held for 7 yrs last February but it opened up new opportunities & I will be launching my copy writing business within the next few months. Busy, busy, busy, but this club looks like it will be well worth the time. I have already made a friend & look forward to learning from all of you!

Thank you Val! I had so much fun making the Avatar. Never did one before. I actually look pretty close to that with short white hair and having the pine trees & mountain background is perfect! My husband said it looked just like me except the mouth was closed & mine is usually moving. Hmmm...

OK ladies, where do the pics get posted? Here or critter pics in the furry board? Scenery pics where? And then, I still have to figure out how to upload them?

Welcome to this wonderful place Sundance! Yes, I'm a city gal and live in Philadelphia. We have a few boardies from the area but I may be the only one in the city.

I am a (born & bred) Philly girl forever (as proven by my never dying thought that some day the Eagles & Flyers will get back to their 70's glory days) We moved to Ft Myers, FL in 1996 thinking that is where we wanted to live until we retired and faded into the sunset. The minute we found out hubby was retiring we were outta there and we are sorry we did not do it sooner. We love living up here in the mountains. It is so pretty all year round. Even today, in the pouring rain, we drove a few miles to Lake Chatuge (1/2 of it is in NC & 1/2 in GA) and just sat and looked out over the lake with the mountains all around. So pretty!

Was rainy & in the 40 all day, 35ish tonight. Not too bad.

You guys can have Vick. After the dog fighting, we had no love for him no matter his talent. Looks like we are getting more rehashed people Got rid of Andy Reid 3 yrs ago, now they just hired his assistant, with Andy's recommendation, as our new coach??? How'd THAT happen? We have no quarterback either. Sad state of affairs in Philly.

Steelers fans objected strongly to the dog fighting too. They used him as a back-up QB for a few games, and now he is inactive.
I live 35 miles from Pittsburgh, so this area is all black and gold.

oooh, fig newtons............ You girls have to stop putting cake, cookies, ice cream, reubens, etc behind your Avatars. I think I gained back 5lbs just looking at the pics. I do think it is too funny that you change your outfits to match the food.

Cindy, Denise and I change ours out daily to match whatever the National Holiday of the day is.

You can see the holidays up at the top of the screen in the newsfeed that scrolls by.

It's become kind of a competition, but as usual my newtons are bigger then her newtons.
