LOL I bet those naps are few and far between. Kittens are little cats on drugs.

^^^^^ THIS is Shirley's new kitteh. I wish Bitty was that calm even part of the time. She is a P&V cat, full of piss and vinegar and into EVERYTHING. She has been 'helping' me with the taxes this week. She has sorted the piles of receipts several times and I can't leave the desk for a minute or she takes off with whatever is left there. I cleaned under the bed today and found all sorts of things that I didn't even know were missing. But then she sits on my shoulder and purrs in my ear and all is forgiven.

I discovered this by accident, but it works well when my Lola is really feisty. Throw her a toy, then put an upside-down laundry basket over her. It'll keep her entertained (and more importantly, contained) for a few minutes while you sort through papers.

Thanks Ahrn, I will give that a try. And maybe put a brick on top of the basket to give me a few extra minutes.
I love her to death, but she is at that age where she just has to get into anything and everything. It wears me out just to watch the little dickens.

Lola is almost a year old so she's starting to chill out a little. (Maybe. I hope. But probably not.)
The nice thing about the basket is that she can stick her paws through the holes and bat at stuff on the outside, so she's still having fun - just without the usual destructive results.

My Daisy is 3 1/2 and she still hasn't slowed down. Last night I left some credit card receipts on the bar. This morning all of them were on the floor and 3 of them were drowning in the water bowl. I know that she did it and she knows that I know that it is her but she doesn't care.

It'll keep her entertained (and more importantly, contained) for a few minutes while you sort through papers. When Chloe was little I'd stick her in the (empty of course) bathtub with a ping pong ball. It was like a hockey rink in there. Even though she was technically big enough to get out, she was having too much fun to think of it. Quincy is 6 and he is still wild. He was racing around this morning and I kept telling him "you have an energy."

Bathtub ping pong! I have to try this! Just remember to take the ping pong ball out at night - it's noisy.

We once had a cat that would take his toys into the bathtub to play with them. It is really noisy, but fun to watch. He especially liked those fur mice.
My current cat won't go near the tub now, as in her salad days she took a curiosity plunge into the tub - when the shower was on - and hasn't been back in the tub since.

Am I the only one who feels bad for the shamed pets? These are cute, but some of them make me to embarrassed for them.
