A couple weekends ago I binge watched both seasons of YOU on Netflix. It was pretty good. I spent 10 hours each day watching it.

Netflix's second season of "Dirty Money" has an episode about Jared Kushner called "Slumlord Millionaire".
I highly recommend it.

If anyone has a CBS subscription, their new show "Tommy" is really good. About a NYC cop who is hired as the first female chief of police for LA. Edie Falco plays the lead. Well written and good acting. On the regular TV programming for CBS, their new show "All Rise" is also really good. Show is filmed from the judge's perspective, so it's a nice change from the typical lawyer or cop/DA shows. Good characters. If anyone watched Hart of Dixie, you'll be happy to see that Bethel Wilson (Wade Kinsella) is back in another role and kicking ass as usual

I realize you posted this a year ago. I think he’s still holding. I really like him as the host of Jeopardy.

For anyone with an Acorn subscription: The Indian Doctor is really good. Unfortunately it only went 3 seasons. It's about a doctor and his wife who get sent to a small village in Wales by the NHS. Takes place in the 1960s and is really cute. Season 2 has the village trying to treat an outbreak of small pox and it's eerie how the attitudes then towards vaccines and quarantine are very similar to now. It's as if we learned nothing from history.

For those with a Prime subscription - check out "Lorena". It's about Lorena and John Bobbitt. It has footage from the original trials and interviews and voice overs from them last year when the show was produced. It's a 4 part documentary and quite good. I thought the presentation was fairly even on both sides. The original court footage and subsequent actions of both parties pretty much tells you who was guilty of what.

Cop show junkies - check out City Homicide on Amazon Prime. Aussie cop show from 2010 or so, ran for 5 seasons. It may take you 2 episodes to get hooked though - the personal storylines are a bit complicated for a couple of the characters and not really something that one episode can handle.

We are in the middle of the "Poldark" series on Netflix. It is about life in England after the Revolutionary War. Done very well, good story lines, amazing costumes & period furnishings, beautiful horses, gorgeous coastal scenery & watching Aidan Turner coming out of the ocean after a swim isn't hard to watch either. Umm..of course, I just like his voice.

I discovered The Orville two nights ago. How did I not watch this show sooner? It's really funny. It's like Captain Kirk meets Benny Hill If you haven't watched it, be advised you have to pay attention or you'll miss a bunch of one liners, throw away lines and other TV show references (most of which are hilarious).

Cliff is watching Breaking bad for about the 5th time which means I am too. He's also a tad obsessed with the Steven Avery documentary, that's series has been watched more than a few times too. I thoroughly enjoy 90 day Fiance, we watch on Hulu so I guess we have to wait awhile before we're able to watch the current season. I thought Super Store was funny and I always enjoy new episodes of my 600 lb life.

I finished up The Orville so I had to hunt for a new show to binge. I found Rizzoli & Isles. I don't usually say this, but the TV show is soooooo much better than the books IMO (books could be very dark at times). Bruce McGill is especially enjoyable. Every so often he'll drop a reference to something that's from Animal House and related actors. You have to pay attention (and be older) to catch it.

Loved Rizzoli & Isles. I have read a few of the books, too. I just finished all 6 seasons of Bosch. I'm a big reader of the books and I think Titus Welliver is excellent as Harry Bosch. Rumor has it that there is a Jack Reacher series in the works. I would die for that one, as it's my all time favorite series of books.

Anyone watching the series Dead to Me? It's an interesting mix of funny and serious. Christina Applegate is in it, I've always like her.

We are now Netflix-ing Billions. Very good story line so far. Starring Damian Lewis who was in Homeland. A life we are not familiar with at all, high stakes stock trading & the straight/crooked DA's that go after the insider trading.

Rumor has it that there is a Jack Reacher series in the works. I would die for that one, as it's my all time favorite series of books. I love Bosch. I agree, Welliver does a good job as Harry. He's serious like the book character, but not quite as dark or anti-social like Harry can be sometimes in the books. I also like the way they're doing the storylines on that show. I wait until the new season is out, then I spring for a month of Prime and watch all the shows. Usually Bosch and The Marvelous Mrs Maizel come out around the same time and I can watch both during the same month. There's supposed to be a new season of Jack Ryan too, but no word yet on when it will start filming or where. It films all over the world, so of course the filming schedule has been delayed due to the virus. The character I'd love to see a network pickup and turn into a series is the JP Beaumont books by JA Jance.

We finished Dead to Me and moved on to You. We'll finish tonight, it's has a Dexter vibe... pretty good. Last night I signed up for Disney Plus, figured it would be good to add something different to the mix. Was just checking out the ap a bit more. It has Marvel, Star Wars and National Geographic options too, not into Star Wars but kind of excited about the other new additions

I love Big Little Lies and Little Fires Everywhere. I'm reading a book from the same author as Big Little Lies titled, What Alice Forgot. I heard that will soon be made into a series too. My other favorites I can watch over in the background are The Office, Arrested Development and Parks & Rec.

Agreed, really enjoyed it. Think I ended up liking You just as much. Hoping that there's more seasons of the shows that we like, with the way You ended there should definitely be more seasons. Covid surely has to have put a damper on things.

COVID shut all filming down in March. That's why I was surprised that All Rise had a new episode - but it was "filmed" remote. Most of the other current shows don't have storylines that would lend them to a "remote" episode. CA just allowed filming to start again about 2 weeks ago, but some shows may not start filming for several weeks. Plus, if it's a show filmed on location outside of CA, those states have their own restrictions on filming. Example, shows filmed in NM and Toronto do not have the green light to start up yet. Shows filmed in multiple locations like Jack Ryan don't even know when they'll be able to start filming.

Anyone watch Dr. Pol? We're a bit hooked. Sometimes things go very wrong and it's sad but I never tire of seeing little baby animals be born and sick/injured animals get back on the mend.

I started watching Nashville on HULU. Seasons 1-3 were really good, and fairly accurate as to how things are done in the country music industry. Season 4 went all personal with the storylines moving from the biz world to the characters personal lives. Season 5 sucked for the most part, one of the main stars wanted off the show and the only way to do that was to have the character die. Seasons 4 & 5 focused too much on the teenaged kids and not enough on the adults. The kids are brats and most unlikable. Season 6 tried to make up for the loss of some strong characters from Season 4 but they kept using 20-something characters. Booooooorrrrrring. I finally said screw it and skipped to the show finale.

Ah ah! I discovered The West Wing. Some of the scenes are amusing (to me) when I compare them to the current environment I can see why it won so many awards.

Has anyone heard of Don't F*ck with Cats (Nexflix)? Someone Cliff works with told him about it so we watched last night. There were only 3 episodes. It was highly disturbing (couldn't watch a few parts) but interesting at the same time. Never underestimate the power of people on the internet who want to right a wrong. In a big way.

if you like cop shows and scary killer shows, Whitechapel is good. Dark, but good. It's on both Hulu and Netflix. UK show, ran for 4 seasons. Season 1-2 has 4 episodes, seasons 3-4 have 6 episodes. The murders the cops have to solve have eerie similarities to historical murders, so the cops look to history to solve the current day crimes.

The script & acting is top notch & the scenery is stunning. Some of the scenes are a bit violent/bloody, but still, it is done very well and not overwhelming. I could just watch the horses & be happy, but watching handsome cowboys doesn't hurt either!
