I love that frame. What a sweet memorial to Coco.

Thanks for all the sympathy and good thoughts. I miss her a ton, she was such a part of our daily lives, a million times a day I start to talk to her/look for her, and it's like...oh yeah, she's gone It makes me wonder how people are able to eventually get another dog knowing you'll have to go through the grief again some day. Because for every sad moment, there are hundreds of happy moments. Just like with a person you loved and lost. It just takes a little time to see it, is all. I wouldn't trade of any of the time I had with my Yukon, even though I wish it could have been longer. He taught me much about life, and that knowledge alone is worth any sad thoughts I have.

I know you are correct, and I look forward to reaching that point, but I don't think I'm there yet. I still have many "bouts" of sadness throughout the day most days. I'll be doing something random like grocery shopping, and I just feel like bursting out into tears. I'm sure time will give me some perspective, but right now I am in the "ate up with sadness" phase.

I am so sorry for your loss. When I opened this thread and started reading I thought what a wonderful person you must be to try so hard to get her to eat by trying to figure out what she might like. It was heartbreaking to read that she had to go to dog heaven. But, I believe that she was a very lucky dog to have you in her life.

It was heartbreaking to read that she had to go to dog heaven. But, I believe that she was a very lucky dog to have you in her life. Thanks for the kind words. She was pretty easy to adore My husband actually sat on the floor and fed her macaroni noodles one at a time because that was all she would eat. At the vets office when we went to have her put to sleep my husband actually had to reach for a kleenex (I was openly sobbing). And this is a man who I've seen cry twice in 25 years: once when we found out his mother had cancer, and again when she passed. I'm glad that we have each other, he's been a great help with my grief.

That brought tears to my eyes. I wish the best for both of you.

I hope this came through right, here is the frame. I hate the background of the photo because it was before we remodeled the kitchen. But it is my favorite photo of her face

Thank you I am pleased with it. However I'm not quite ready to hang it yet, still feeling a little too raw.

I'm sorry, Jesmeric. It's obvious how much you love Coco. She was so lucky to have you.
