This is a new foster boy (and yes, I checked) that I picked up yesterday. He's about 3-4 months old, solid gray, fluffy hair, long thin build with long legs and big feet. I think he will be a pretty big cat. He needs a name, any suggestions?  |

He looks like Chloe who I was going to name Cleo in case she turned out to be a he I could change it to Leo. So Leo.

Well I would say Babe.... I know I know he's a boy but I'm thinking of Paul Bunyans ox. Or just name him Ox. If he's going to be big. His full name could be Babe the Blue Ox.  He is freaken adorable. Blue kittehs are my second faves next to black. Yes if he were my kitteh he would be Ox. |

I just love the name Vinnie for a big boy cat. If Tango had been male, I would have named him Vinnie or Baxter or Clancy or Toby. I don't have any good girl names except those that are already taken. |

Since he looks like a Russian Blue, how about Boris or Sergei? He looks like my Lila (her full name is "Lilyana Ivanovich Catstoyevsky", and I suspect she is the reincarnation of a Russian Tsarina).  |

He is out in the general population today and Bitty is showing him all the fun places to get into. He is one frisky kitty.

He likes the B sound I guess.
When I would say something to Bitty or Button he would always turn his head. So I tried Boris on him and he liked it.
No, I do not need a Natasha, or a Rocky or a Bullwinkle, or a Sam, Frank, Sally or Joe. I don't need any more cats, I shouldn't have anymore cats. I don't know where I would put more cats.
Sigh... but then I usually don't have a choice in the matter.

Awww, he's cute. We had one that looked just like him years ago. Another feral. We named him Fuzzy and then it turned into Fuzzy Bug because he was always chasing bugs.

It's funny how every single critter that has come into our life has a name that morphs into a nickname. Then they come when called to either one. Our latest, Heidi (her pic is my avatar) came to us with her name but seems to like her nickname of Bubba much better.

He does have a touch of the sneaky Boris in him.
Today there was a near cat riot. Bitty showed him where Coggie hides his goodies (stuffed mice, balls, plastic bottle caps, stolen pens, etc). They were under a big piece of furniture and nobody could reach them. Boris is still small enough that he crawled under and was pulling toys out. The other cats came running and started taking all the best goodies for themselves.
When Boris crawled out most of the stuff was gone and he got mad and tried to take a few back from the old auntie cats. Bad idea. They like their treasures and hadn't seen them in awhile. Lots of yelling and hissing and he got bopped on the nose a couple of times. Even Bitty wouldn't share with him. I had to laugh cause he had such a sad look in his face, he did all the stealing and had nothing to show for it.
The big cats have now gotten tired of most of the stuff so it's all over the house and he can pick what he wants to play with. By tomorrow Coggie will have rehidden most of the treasures, hopefully this time nobody sees where he hides them.

People who think that have never lived with a cat. They have visited people with cats, but those cats in their ancient wisdom recognized in them their total inappropriateness of ever being a cat owner so they put on their I'm nothing more then a furry meatloaf who just lays here and does nothing act. So their opinions of cats didn't change and the feline population is saved from having one of them as an owner.  |
