come up in my lists at all?
It was simply called "ignore topic" on the other board, with a check box, but I'm not seeing anything like that here.

Maybe I am not totally understanding what you are asking about but if I want to ignore a topic or am not interested in it, I don't click on it. I just skip over it.
Definitely not answering your question but how I handle ignoring a topic.

I read by recent updated posts and I selected something so the threads I'm not interested in (the games) don't ever show up. If I go to the forum home page, they'll still show though.

Definitely not answering your question but how I handle ignoring a topic. No, I don't want to see the topic appear at all. I don't even want to see the title. There was a very ez check box option on the old board to do that. It was a handy feature that I didn't use a ton, but it was really useful when I wanted not to see a topic at all.
There is a checkbox option here, but it doesn't seem to give me an option to ignore the topic.

I read by updated too, do you remember where you did that & more importantly is it by topic or by the entire category? If it's by topic, that sounds like it would work for me. I'm not sure where to look. On the old board it was just a checkbox on the topic itself.

I don't see a feature like that, Zoe - just ignore user. Several people have asked for it on the Proboards support forum, maybe they'll add it in a future release.

OK, thank you. It is a nice feature, I hope they'll add it, it was very useful on the other board.
I'll see if I can find what Classring is referring to, it sounds like that would partially do it.

Would the check in the box then select mark as read forever make it go away.

BINGO! allikat's got it.
If you hover over the thread topic, a checkbox will appear on the left. Check the box and then go to the actions dropdown on the upper right and choose mark read forever.

I know this is an old thread, but I find myself wanting to do it again today & since it's been over a year since I asked, thought it couldn't hurt to ask again & see if there's been any improvements to the software that allow a user to ignore a topic, so it doesn't even show up on their list of topics?
