I can't do navy blue or black because they are cat hair magnets. I do mostly prints or light colored Life Is Good cat tees. I don't think I have any just plain solid color tops.
I definitely do not dress my age but as life is getting shorter and shorter, I pretty much do and wear what I want. No Alfred Dunner or Chicos Travelers in my closet. When I sold on ebay, I sold a lot of Travelers and that material is just too like old fashioned or old lady type to me. No shape to the pants plus they get shiny in the butt area.
Maybe it is a locale thing because I never see anybody wearing Travelers here. Plenty of Dunner though that eventually ends up at Goodwill.

When I have pants on or jeans, capris, etc., if they have a zipper and pull me in when I pull the zipper up, I feel more in control of my whole legs/bottom. If I have loose pajama type pants on I feel sloppy and messy, I don't like that feeling. I guess it's just personal feelings. If they are stretch type pants for any reason (gym) they need to be fitted and a long top over them. No loose baggy stuff.

There she is...my sister by another mother. I don't like that loose sloppy feeling in pants or tops either. I feel like there is too much material getting in my way. I am not one for layering either but then the climate here doesn't tend to layering any time of the year.

I like loose stuff since it doesn't accent my fat rolls. And now that I lost weight, my arms look horrible and flappy. So I have to wear 3/4 length sleeves.

I have had those same horrible flappy arms for years and I wear sleeveless. I dress how I like and am comfortable. I couldn't care less about what other people think. In fact, I doubt very seriously that other people care what my arms look like and if they do, they need to get a life.
When I wear loose stuff, I think it makes me look bigger.

Fitted on the top, loose and baggy on the bottom.

BINGO!
It's too dang hot here not to wear sleeveless & if someone is offended by my bat wing arms they can just look away.

There's a difference between loose and "swimming". I prefer tee shirts, but have nice tops that are more fitted on top and flow away towards the bottom to not bring attention to my muffin top, yet not give off a "pregnant" look (which, in my 60s, is definitely not a good look). My one SIL has always dressed "fat", wearing clothing that's obviously too many sizes too large and pictures make her look huge.
Bottom line is wear what you feel comfortable wearing. I've always shook my head how people let others dictate what they should/shouldn't wear regardless how uncomfortable or ridiculous they look.

I want my tops loose enough to drape/hang nicely, which is not the same as baggy or swimming. I hate tops that are too small and clingy.

Val-me too. In the summer, I wear sheer or semi-sheer loose tops (with 3/4 sleeves) with a tank underneath. So my muffin-top isn't too obvious. And to further complain--- once I lost weight, my previously hidden varicose veins popped out. So now I have to wear capris to hide those. Around the house I do wear short-sleeved tees and shorts. My neighbors are chubbier than I am.

The Chico's Traveler's pants actually can look good, but I see women wearing them too tightly - they're supposed to drape almost like palazzo pants, not yank on and then cling - they're sized properly to how they should look. I'll say that the ones I feel that way about are the dark colours, though, and wide legged, so I guess that's a really specific item.
Chico's in general doesn't do much for me but the Design stuff sells.

I have been checking out your Chico's stuff, Chap. I do like the pants since they are slimming. And the best part is that I can fit into size 0 !!!!!!!! In normal sizes of other brands, I need a size 12.

I wear a 12 and need a size 2 in Chico's (12/14) or they're too tight and don't flow - we may be talking about different styles, though. Sizing can be a complete pain and Chico's sizing seems a bit random.

I probably should wear a larger size for my hips. But my tops always go below my hips to hide them

Thanks for checking out my stuff - if you want anything I'll give you agreat deal. I'm listing more Chico's. If anything is 'in', it seems to be vintage kimono lol, because I sure sell a lot of those on Posh.
