I pay 97.00 monthly including all taxes and whatever for landline and internet plus $25 with Philo for 70+ channels. I have the TV on from 6:00 to 9:00 each night so I can always find something to "watch" while I am doing other things at the same time. I very rarely sit down and focus solely on a TV program.
It would kill my soul to pay what ya'll are paying. I am not that addicted to any channel to pay extra to be able to watch it.

The email is correct, the funding for the program is running out. Congress is fighting about the renewal of the funding, with the usual party blocking it for political reasons all the while the are touting to their constituents how much they are helping them. I didn't know that they had discounts like that. But Denise, Shirley is correct, I just looked it up out of curiosity. They are not accepting any more applications and the program is set to end in April. There is a link to a lifeline program on the info page. Here is the link to the page with the info: www.affordableconnectivity.gov/

Thanks, Shirley for the email info. It was only $30, but it made a difference. It is disgusting how "those" people vote against everything, but when the funding goes through to help us, they act like they were voting for it all along and take credit for it.
I am like you Kritter, and only really listen to the TV while I am doing other stuff. But I have my TV on all day long, since I seem to need background noise.
I just got a call about my Medicaid and TG, I still have it. I have been worried that my car will be paid for in July and thought that I needed a car payment to keep me in Medicaid, but I don't!
I never got a real explanation of what I needed as far as income. But my $1,151 SS per month is $104 under the maximum allowance for Medicaid. Any other bills don't make a difference, which I never knew. My new case manager actually calls about the review results, unlike any other manager, ever. I would just get a letter saying that I still have Medicaid.
Will be making calls on Monday to find out about the lower car insurance payments since I don't even drive 2,000 miles a year.

I don't watch TV, but I have a big audiobook bill. I have the Audible Premium Plus membership, paid monthly. It's worth it for all of the free audiobooks you can get.

Don’t you just love Xfinity when you call and say “can I drop phone service” and it is only a few bucks less?
