It's Saturday! Not that it means anything to a 24/7-365 eCommerce seller, but hey, it is what it is. What's on your agenda today? A little shopping? Maybe a quick workout? Perhaps some listing? Or taking Clean's lead and cooking an awesome meal?

Sort of working in the yard today. Can't do anything heavy yet, but I filled the hummer feeders, have 3 pair here now and they go thru it pretty fast. Also made up a big batch to have on hand in the fridge for when I need it.
Harvested my first cutting of chives and my third cutting of cilantro. So nice to have fresh herbs when I want them, I'm glad I put them in this year.
I have the patio table set up so I can paint some garden stuff that needs refreshing or I want to change the color on. I will get to that this afternoon or tomorrow if the wind comes up too much.

I have so many & honestly I just let them die each year. I only use them a few times a year, which is a shame. Mine first
batch could be cut now too, they've been growing like crazy.

I am putting together two new cat trees for the Missy family who passed their cat trees to the Ragdolls in the foster bedroom.
Almost got one done and realized I did part of it wrong and now can't get it back apart.
One more try and if I don't get it apart, this cat tree is going up with a different configuration.
I have 5 cats trying to be the first one on the new cat tree which is not helping at all.

It's beautiful here on Long Island today. I'm working (indoors :sigh:) at the FT job . When I finish up at 6pm, I'll head on over to Savers to make a return/exchange. Nothing exciting...unless I find a woo hoo...

I like chives on eggs or baked potatoes. I think I'm going to make a batch of chive cream cheese with this cutting. It's great on crackers or in a sandwich. If there are any left I will freeze them for use later on. This is the first year I have grown my own so I am still figuring it out.
I'm moving slow, but at least I am moving, which is a huge improvement. I have on a big brace, which really limits my bending, but there is still a lot of stuff I can do sitting down. When I set up the yard/garden this season I did it all with sitting in mind so I could keep on taking care of most of it myself after the surgery. It's my relaxation time, being with the plants and the birds and bugs is calming and peaceful to me.

I'm meeting a friend for lunch, been trying to keep busy since BF went back to Ohio for a few weeks. We're meeting on a street where there's some nice indoor outdoor restaurants but I'm hoping we end up at this one place that has amazing bruschetta boards... mmmmm

Today was errands, shopping, and groceries. I had declared no invo shopping until my backlog was caught up. That lasted less than 24 hours. And I came home with almost 100 pieces. Three times my normal amount. Ugh, is there a support group for inventory shopping? I did find me a very cute Kathy Van Zeeland bag. And it's purple! My fav color. It matches my sunglasses. I also picked up some camis for myself since I was needed some anyways. There was a horrible woman at the GW today. She took an item up to the counter and told the cashier, "it's missing a lid, and I'm NOT paying this price for it!" The cashier cut her a break. Whatev, I would've told her, "So put it back." What a wench. It's a good thing I don't work there. I'm almost done processing my haul and getting laundry going. I'm a bit irritated the GW started using the colored barbs again. Takes longer to process with having to cut them off. And two tops have permanent holes now. Grrrrr. They may just end up in my closet. Okay, break's over. I'm making steaks for dinner. Hopefully on the grill since it's so beautiful out today!

Since doing an unanticipated 3.5 hr photo session (hurrah for sunshine!), I've been taking breaks to catch up on this forum... and hoping get some ummmmmph back so I can list the stuff. Other than that, it's a beautiful uneventful spring day.

Caturday! Jamie found a stick which she now has claimed possessively. Cassie follows the sun - you see her migrating along with it, around the house, across the room, wherever she is. She often has her head in the shade and the rest of her in the sun. Jamie is usually under the bushes but not this time. It may hit 70 tomorrow and be sunny or partly sunny until Wed., when the clouds and rains come back and we'll have a pair of pouting cats. I'm listing after picking up some invo.

Cute fluffies! Your cats are telling you that they need sunglasses...
Watched 3 year old grandson play soccer...shopped at a little thrift and found a Misook twin set for $5! Met pals for lunch at Red Lobster. Got weed cover and garden anchors at Ollies.
Mowed for the first time and whacked (hate that)....worked more on garden pine needle mess. Huge pine trees drop tons of needles on garden. Debated running elec cord up to garden, which will take about 3 cords...and used leaf blower. But the ground was too wet.

Still processing my haul from yesterday. Took some pictures & edited them but it's way too nice to be stuck in the ebay cave so I cleaned off the screened porch, put out the cushions & decor, hung the goldfinch feeders outside - then I had to sit out there with the cat for a while.
First day of fishing season or "Fishmas" as it's known around here. Fisherman everywhere. Hubby got his limit so trout for dinner - YUM! Hopefully I'll get some listings done this evening~

Back from lunch, it was so nice on the shaded patio. Friend had her little wee one in tow... she didn't fuss once. It was almost weird to see a little baby being so quiet and low maintenance. Her parents are in a childcare pickle on Monday's so I'll be helping out for about 5 hours in the afternoon on some Monday's. Here's to hoping she's just as mellow then, if not that's fine too.
Now I need to get my rear in gear and list but I'm not in the mood and probably won't be until tomorrow. There's stuff folded and piled up all around me just waiting, I hate that.

Stayed nice and sunny here but the winds came up and got to 40 mph so painting was put off. The spring winds are our only major weather issue here so I can't complain about them that much, but dang do they make a mess and stir up a lot of dust. I just give up dusting in the house for about a month cause it comes back the minute you are done. So I stayed in the house and blew bubbles for the cats until we were all tired and then we all took a nice long nap.

We went "car shopping" again. BOO. I gave up. Picked up Starbucks on the way home to help cut the headache I had.
Then text a bit with DS and he said honestly, he'd rather use public transportation because he doesn't want to commit to insurance payments (he's cheaper than I am!) and he doesn't want to contribute to the pollution/congested highways of LA. UUUUUMMMMMM, who's kid IS THIS? Is it just his generation? I was ITCHING to drive when I was 15. But then again, we had very limited public transportation on the island I grew up on.
I listed a handful of things this morning. And proceeded to snap my manni's wrist right off (BOO)! She needs surgery. Hopefully I can get a couple more items cranked out tonight.

I was thinking Gorilla Glue!
She didn't just break the little stem that you shove her hand on with. She actually CRACKED all the way around, about an inch above where the arm and wrist meet.
OR
Maybe duct tape and a really pretty 3" bracelet to cover it.....

Or Duck Tape could be the bracelet. It comes in a bunch of purty colors now.

Hey Kritter, did you get your cat tree together?
Or did it turn into a cat shrub?

I am getting ready to post pics. You are going to be impressed.
Only one small issue but quickly overcome. I stripped one of the bolt things but just Gorilla Glued it together. More sturdy that way anyway.
Will get my pics ready.

Have you ever frozen chives before? I thought their water content would make them not suitable. IE; they will turn to mush when used? I've never tried it though.

I am browsing the forum on my new laptop. I broke down last night and bought a new one. I am so happy that I didn't buy last week though and took a few days to think about it. The one I wanted was on sale for almost $60 less than it was priced at least week. Yippee! Today has been a totally lazy day after I got home from work. I took a long nap and went to Target to buy a broom and dust pan since I couldn't put off sweeping any longer, lol. On a related note, brooms are dang expensive for that they are! Of course I went to Target for hangers and a broom and totally forgot the hangers.

Zoe, supposedly you can freeze them chopped as is, or put them in an ice tray with a little water and make chive ice cubes with them.
When I have enough extra I will give it a try and see what happens.

Duh. Thanks Shirley, I never thought abt freezing them chopped, that could work. I have done the ice cube thing with other herbs b4, but I don't really see it working well with chives. Except maybe to flavor a soup or something.

It surprised me how super fast they grew. The cilantro and mint are going gang busters too. I've been sharing those with Les next door and it seems the more I cut the more it grows. Which is fine by me, I love the mint in tea and I put cilantro is just about everything.

I never managed to get enough cilantro to make it worthwhile, but I am going to do mint this year. I love it with fruits or in iced tea or in mint juleps or just to flavor water. Considering we still have really cold nights & 5" of snow the other day, I'm surprised by how high my chives are. I will still wait another few weeks before planting any mint, since it's going to be in a pot.

Just got off work and starting my weekend. Rob moves tomorrow and he has nothing packed at all...
I know I'm going to have to spend my other day off (Monday) to clean up all the mess he leaves. I guess it's a small price to pay just to have him gone.

Recently read an article that it has to do with wiring in the brain. Tastes lemony to some, soap to the rest.
