Another day, another grocery store sticker shock! DH like the Kroger brand twice baked potatoes sold in the frozen section. They come two halves to a box, so basically one potato. A piece of frozen fish and one of the potato halves was a go to lunch for him on work from home days. Today, I went to grab a box and it was $6.99!! Basically $7 for a single baked potato mixed up with some cheese. Heck no! I will swing by Costco one evening, get a bag of their nice baking potatoes, and make some myself for him. That is absurd! I do feel like some of these prices increases are nothing more than the stores taking advantage.

Hungry Girl is big on low carb and her recipes are great. I'm not low carb (it doesn't work with my life style) but I generally want the carbs to count nutritionally and not just be starch, and she has substitutes for that, too.

I am on some hypoglycemia facebook sites and learning a lot. Someone posted about "Good Good" jellies and hazel-choco spread (like Nutella). Super good! In the "old" days, sugar-free stuff tasted yucky to me. But they sure have improved.
I think that I have the hypoglycemia pretty well figured out. But my fluctuating BP makes me nuts. This morning after I ate breakfast, my BP went down to 69/40, upon standing. Later in the day it was 168/105. This is crazy.

But I do have to admit, the Maple Grove Farms Sugar Free Maple Syrup tastes almost like the real thing, and there is no icky aftertaste. Given they also farm and sell the real stuff, I suppose I shouldn't be surprised

I have tried so many recipes that are so bad. I look at the reviews and people say something like "These are just so yummy" but they're really NOT!! I tried Birch Benders mix and I think it's awful. I really really really miss pancakes.

Maple Farms makes a good sugar free waffle mix, but it's not low-carb. Birch Benders frozen keto waffles are pretty decent if you heat them up in the air fyer. I haven't tried this recipe yet, but plan to if I can find the fine ground almond flour at the grocery store: healthyrecipesblogs.com/gluten-free-waffles/

I use Mrs Butterworth SF when I can get to Giant.
I do like the Maple Grove diet dressings.
