Games like that are so fun to watch live. Go Mariners! My chili came out really good. The recipe called for cumin and chili powder, which I always replace with Penzeys Adobo and Arizona Dreaming. I added chopped red & green bell pepper to the recipe and used 1/2 ground beef and 1/2 ground turkey. It was quite tasty! Three servings are in the freezer for later, and a few servings are in the fridge for this week. Either tomorrow or Monday I'm going to make roasted green beans with mushrooms and roasted skin on chicken thighs, but in the air fryer instead of the oven. Fingers crossed it works

18 innings? Holy cow- that's a record for sure! It's smokey here too, and the endless summer weather continues. It hit 89 degrees here today. Fortunately rain is expected by next weekend. It'll be good to get the smoke, dust & pollen out of the air for awhile.

Sorry for you guys who don't get a lot/any trick-or-treaters We get TONS! The neighborhood is like a carnival every year. Lots of kids live here, and some drive in, too. The little ones start coming around 6 when it's still light, and we wrap it up by about 9 but often get a few stragglers after that. I usually buy 15-20 bags of candy and some of them are the bigger size. I rarely have much left. When we lived at the "old house" (we've been here at the "new house" 23 years lol) we lived on a very busy street. Only 2 houses on our corner, and then a shopping strip so we got like 3 trick-or-treaters in 8 years. But that was ok, because I was taking my kids out. On this block we get tons. And now that my kids are grown, I give out all evening. It's a lot of fun. Just hope the weather holds! It's very warm today but a front tomorrow is supposed to cool things off nicely
Ugh, Chap that's awful I hope your covid cough resolves soon. DS and DIL (both NOT vaccinated) had covid symptoms linger for about 4 weeks till they were 100%. Since you are vaccinated I hope it won't take that long for you.

We're supposed to be 90 and humid today. Bleah. Cold front comes through tomorrow and we'll be in the 60s for two days, then 70s for two days, then back up the mid-80s by Friday. Ugh. I am so over warm and humid - I want chilly. Kritter, OTOH, will probably have her heater on tomorrow and Tuesday For all you procrastinators, your income tax return is due tomorrow. I need to efile mine today and finish up one for a client. Then it's take all the stuff to GW. My car will be loaded.

You are probably right. For sure I am getting out my winter tops and pants. I don't do Spring and Fall fashion. Only summer and winter. Don't even change closets. The winter stuff moves to the front of the walk in closet and the summer stuff moves to the back.

That cat looks like it was put on its face shortly after birth and it froze that way. It's eyes still haven't gotten over it.

I hate Kohls cash. It is just a big scam to get you to come back and spend more money. I did buy some short sleeve tshirts yesterday to get me through Fall. Of course I used $30 in Kohls cash and got back $20 in Kohls cash.
I got out walking this morning. Felt good. Took a dog who likes to walk. Will see how he is later as he hadn't been out lately. We did a lot of walking at work this past week so I did not get out at home.
Kids are back from Fall break at work so we are busy this evening.

labbypaws - Last night I dreamt that I got a job as night security/quasi-police officer for several buildings in a city block lol. I had a uniform with my first name embroidered over the pocket and was walking around checking doors and making certain all was peaceful. Odd things were going on here and there, then I saw the darkness recede and the place come to life as the city workers reported for duty. I think your job hunt and my plans to look for something else to do inspired this.

Had flurries here this morning and the temperature never broke 50 degrees. Still refuse to turn the furnace on as it's supposed to be 70 on Saturday and Sunday. Made lasagna for dinner so the oven being on helped warm the house.
