Not really. The fudge recipes make small batches, so you'll have lots of choices but not a huge quantity of any one kind. The few baked goodies I'm making do make a decent-sized batch, but again, not a whole lot of individual servings once a couple of pieces are put in each bag.

Oh wow, again wish I was closer I love to bake. Good luck and sorry I missed the post I will look there for the pictures. I may have been blinded by the cute kitties and forgot to actually read the post.
My DH is laughing in heaven today, I had to go against all my principles and use Round Up today. I actually had to buy it because it was one of the first things I threw out when I got home with the comment I will never use this again, lol. I am sure he laughed about me wearing rubber gloves and a mask to spray it too. I had to do it, I was losing my second driveway and spending way too much time weeding and trying to keep up.
Everything else good, not doing anything this weekend but I am on call to watch the grand dog when they decide to go to fireworks so she isn't alone. I saw fireworks after a baseball game about 2 weeks ago I am good for the season.

LOL If that is the right way which it most likely is, I am doing it way wrong. It is a wonder that I don't have RoundUp poisoning.

Today is my day for crank calls. I'm ready to scream - my cell phone is a Samsung and for the ring tone I chose "Over the Horizon 2019" by Samsung. Every year Samsung puts out a new ringtone, full orchestra ring tone and I like it, it plays on and on. Probably because most of the time my phone is in the car and I never hear it. Today the phone is on the coffee table here and already 5 crank calls this morning. That full orchestra Over the Horizon blasting out over and over. The loud ringtone starts at 328, actually very pretty, but once or twice a day is enough. www.youtube.com/watch?v=HAuuvGQkZnwI actually yelled out STOP to it a few minutes ago, had to shut it off. I googled the phone numbers from all over the USA from California to Florida. Today I had a Vape Shop from Olympia WA calling, wonder what they wanted with me. One tech place, and the others said Robocall warning. Blocking the numbers is worthless. Have you installed Hiya? It is safe and when a call is an obvious scam, it shows that on the screen. Then I block it.

Retro- The great thing about deer netting (unless the deer rip through it, which is rare), is that you can't even see it from 6 feet away. My house is pretty far from the road, so no one can see it.
Desire-good idea to call the elec company. I did several years ago and it didn't help. But maybe their policies have changed.
Val-fabulous menu! OMG-everything sounds great.
Thanks everyone for the hydrangea likes. I hope to get out tomorrow morning to dig up some pine needles to pile underneath, since that is supposed to make the flowers even bluer. Coffee grounds are supposed to help, but I only drink 2 k-cups a day, and last year it didn't make a difference.
My grandson has been here 3 afternoons in a row this week and he did help me with yard work, which he loves to do. But I have been having a problem with my low BP. When I go outside when it is hot in the afternoons, my systolic drops to 75. I can tell easily since my vision changes. So I drink Gatorade and hit my recliner for an hour for it to go back up. It is really hard to get stuff done that way. At night it usually goes up to 160 systolic, so that is when I take my BP pill. My doctors know about this and there is nothing that can be done. My chemo makes the fluctuation much worse.
There is a name for my wildly fluctuating BP, but I forget what it is.
It has been very hot and dry here too, and I really hope that it rains soon!

I never use garden gloves when I am working in the yard. Too cumbersome/heavy handed when working with tools and planting.
Inhaling RoundUp is way down on my list of things to concern myself with. I am more concerned about having weeds be gone for good.

That mixture did work really well on all my pavers which is good because me and the dog walk on those and I would rather not have her around chemicals either.

Tons of gravel through 45 years didn't last long and grass grew better in my driveway than in my yard! I did use tons of the vinegar stuff, too.
But now I need it sealed yearly... but still...
Ahhh-the joys of home-ownership.

We have a lot of people in the development with lots of flowers and plants in their yard. Doing away with grass and trying to have more pollination, etc. The problem is that as they get older, it gets overgrown and looks like a jungle. Tons of people asking for weeding help. We have brown stone in the beds in the front yard. I really need to pay someone to come out and remove some of the shrubs, replace them and spruce it up. Just goes to the bottom of the list.
We have to spray the yard for bugs (mainly ticks). Hubby will do that this weekend. It is a pain because we keep the dogs off it for several hours.
We have stone under our back deck but the dogs, as pups, liked to pull up the fabric and stakes under the stone so it is all gone. Hubby sprays weed killer under that area.
Hot and humid here. 100% humidity. I do not walk in this weather.

I had my landscape re-done 3 years ago, and the front where my flowers shrubs are, has river rock with weed cover under the rock. Weeds still grow among the rocks, and along the edge where I guess the fabric shrunk back. The edge weeds are really hard to pull out. I have to use the vinegar stuff there.
I hesitate to use a better weed killer since I don't know if it will harm the shrubs.
Never-ending work.

Once the weeds start to flourish, I spray them all once. Then I go back aa little later and catch the ones I missed and any stragglers that come up.
Done for the season. I spray in my flower beds just carefully enough to not get any on the leaves of the plants.

Use it as a stir in for oatmeal or over ice cream? Not unless you like nuclear sugary oatmeal. But I found a better recipe that should work like it's supposed to work. Too much moisture in the original recipe. The picture should have tipped me off -it looked pretty soft. Now for round 2 . I'm to make todays delivery after lunch.

My worst place is behind my butterfly bushes and that area slopes down. I worry about it washing down to the bushes.
But I use the vinegar stuff there.
I just used weed killer called Eliminator this morning on the poison ivy under my pine trees. Not worried about the pine trees.

Denise - if you get the roundup with the comfort wand that has a battery in it, it can direct the spray very narrowly, better than a trigger spray (like windex) that sprays a wider stream. The long wand lets you get the spray right onto the weeds. I spray all around my flowers, shrubs, and grass edges with no problems. The roundup dries very fast. What it does is that it absorbs into the leaves/greenery of the weed and travels down to the root of the weed to kill it. There is no "run-off" washing down into any other area. This is the roundup with the comfort wand below - no trigger, no pumping, just hold the wand and spray. If you look at the link below at the different Roundup options, they have a new spray container that has a "guard" on the wand, called the "sure-shot" wand that has the cylinder guard around the sprayer end, great for for nervous people, to use around any very delicate plants, etc. It will eliminate any spray blowing or over-spray. I just use the regular comfort wand everywhere. www.amazon.com/RoundUp-5200210-Ready-Grass-Killer/dp/B00FN3N0A6/ref=asc_df_B00FN3N0A6/?tag=hyprod-20&linkCode=df0&hvadid=459648457333&hvpos=&hvnetw=g&hvrand=3212090458002437720&hvpone=&hvptwo=&hvqmt=&hvdev=c&hvdvcmdl=&hvlocint=&hvlocphy=9003425&hvtargid=pla-945205367921&th=1

I thought the RoundUp was more instantaneous than it really is. I walked down the the 2nd driveway and was mad that all the weeds weren't dead yet, lol. My friend told me it takes a little while for them to die, I told her I swore they grew overnight and was ready to mix up another batch. I will give it a little time.

Ali - I used to mix the Roundup myself before they came out with the battery-operated wand because I found it hard to use the Roundup in the pump container. So I would use a wanded tank sprayer and mix it up myself. I always made the solution stronger than they said to. Threw more Roundup solution in it than it called for. I noticed the weeds from that container died faster than the pre-mixed solution. If you make it weaker than called for, using more water, it won't work well.
It usually takes a few days for them to die off, but the problem is new ones are coming up in a stone driveway and you have to keep on it until they are all gone. Then it's good for awhile. I found that the extended-control Roundup in the bronze container doesn't work as well, I think it only lets little bits out at a time, like an extended-release medication does.
The MAX control 365 in the silver container is supposed to be the strongest Roundup, I've never used it to give an opinion on it but I might order a jug of that to check it out.
ETA: Edited to add info on the MAX control 365 new Roundup product.

I will try to ignore it until next week. Thanks I will update in a few days

Desire-thanks! I think that I had that a few years ago. It makes sense that if it is just on the leaves, it shouldn't run off.
Alli-this Eliminator stuff that I have takes longer to work than the vinegar stuff. I also wondered why the weeds stayed green for a few days.
The vinegar stuff works quickly, but doesn't last long.

Because the vinegar stuff just kills the leaves etc. it is sprayed on so it doesn't affect new growth.
The RoundUp kills to the root so it takes a few days to kill it but the root is dead.

So the camp that rents out our college during the summer bailed out. Not sure if it is the whole camp but it sounds like it. We got an email yesterday saying that almost all the dorms were going to be unoccupied. This was very sudden. Sounds like they are making good on making everyone whole. Just the ripple effect is astounding. These kids are mainly well to do but they also have scholarships for those who need it. These kids are extremely smart and instead of going to sport camps they go to educational camps. We are talking 2-12 graders although most of the ones who come to my workplace are 4-6 grade or so. The organization is paying for everyone’s travel expenses to and from the college, wages for anyone who had committed to work, reimbursing all costs. I surely hope they reimburse the college as they had dining center, housekeeping and security staff working. Other groups who could have rented the college can’t because it is too late. Add in all the food that was bought, set up and rental of equipment like computers, plus they hire our students to work various areas to support the camp. I will know more tomorrow when I go back to work. If they force us to take vacation, I am already doing my part this coming week. Just shocking. Oh and reading the reasons why, it is dumbfounding. Not sure what the truth is. This camp rents out colleges all across the US and all the colleges are in the same predicament. Some are saying background checks and staffing issues. www.washingtonpost.com/dc-md-va/2022/06/27/johns-hopkins-cty-canceled/www.washingtonpost.com/education/2022/07/01/cty-leader-fired-hopkins/

Labby - I read one of those articles. I would be very upset if this happened while my child was enroute on a plane to the campus. That is really bad for public relations.
Just made a potato salad for tomorrow. If anyone still makes it the old fashioned way by peeling and cubing the potatoes first then boiling the cubes, try it this way below as it is so much faster and easier.
Just boil the whole unpeeled potatoes with the skins still on (white or gold, not Idaho) until they are tender, then pour the hot water out and fill the pan with cold water to cool off the potatoes so you can hold them in your hand. Take each potato, holding it under running water and peel the skins right off with your fingers. The skins will slide right off very easily, no peeling necessary, so much easier than peeling the potatoes when raw. Put the whole peeled potatoes in a bowl and cube them up, a lot easier because the potatoes are soft as opposed to cubing hard raw potatoes.
I also boil 3-4 eggs, slice/mash them up and put them in along with a chopped-up onion and one finely chopped stalk of celery, adding salt/pepper. I keep one boiled egg to slice up and lay each slice on top of the finished potato salad for decoration and garnish it all off with red paprika for color.

Yes, can you imagine flying your kid into some distance airport to be picked up by camp staff and finding out the camp canceled? I don’t know how many made it in. There may still be a camp or three of theirs going on but I cannot imagine the college going for 100 campers instead of 1000.
We used to have a tennis, golf and enrichment camp here but the previous President (two men ago) chased them out for this camp. Many celebrities sent their kids to it. The counselors and kids came from all over the world. They still came for a day camp but then Covid hit. Krinsky closed their camps totally and retired. I think they sold their name though. Either that or he found a way to keep the tennis daytime program elsewhere.
Even the local businesses rely on these camps to buy pizza and other stuff in the evenings.
The college should just think about offering some summer courses and be done with it.
