Almost every day for the last week I have been getting a shipping defect on my dashboard. It used to happen once in awhile and I was able to request that it be removed. Now Ebay will not remove them. Saying it is creating a negative buying experience for the buyer.
I ship asap, sometimes the same day if not, the next day. So it is not my actual shipping time. It is the USPS which has said it is slowing down shipping speed.
I called and the rep said that "using the tools I am using on my computer screen, you currently do not have any late shipping defects. I assure you that on May 20th ( your next evaluation) the defects will be gone".
But I keep getting them. Is it Ebays push for free shipping? I thought that was over. Anyone else having this problem?

Are you getting them scanned? eBay has said that once they see you have shipped it on time and USPS catches up, they remove the defects.
I had an envelope take from January 23 to Feb 14 to get posted to my insurance account. They actually called me to say my payment was late. Wells Fargo sent it out. Of course this is a company that does not have online payment. I can set it up for EFT but I really hate that.

My mail carrier scans them on my doorstep. It's weird because I'll ship 7 packages and only 1 will get flagged. I hope it's what you said Labby. Thanks for letting me know.

When you ship them doesn't matter, when they are scanned does.
There's a new rule, it's actually an old rule, but the software now enforces it, that rural carriers can't scan more than 5 pkgs w/o a SCAN sheet. The software actually won't let them go beyond 5. There's a way around it, but they have to know it & be willing to do it. So possibly, only 5 of yours are getting scanned.
Also, "rural route" apparently does not mean rural, b/c I'm in a subd. of 800 houses & they are calling it rural. I talked to my carrier & 1/2 my city of 1/2 million people is called rural. At one time these areas were rural, but it was before I moved here 25 years ago LOL. So, don't assume (like I did) that you're not on a rural route.
