What say you?
I have a couple I didn't get around to listing & a newly acquired one, but I hesitate b/c though I'm still selling some Winter, I'm also selling lots of Spring, plus my thrifts just had their annual 99cents sweater sale to get rid of them & make room for tank tops. I feel like it might be better to wait til next year?

I'm still selling coats, but it's mostly lightweight ones selling for me. At the end of the month my wool coats (what is left of them) will come down. I will leave the lighter weight ones up, though, through April.
ETA: It's chilly here through a lot of the year so I have a tough time gauging. The thrifts insist on rotating their tank tops, etc., in early March when we're still wearing sweaters and jackets into June.

We will be wearing winter coats on/off here until the end of March. Yesterday it was cold and windy, only 17 degrees, it's now 23. Up further in northern Vermont and Maine it's much colder than us.

I am doing the same as Chap. Taking down the heavy stuff at the end of the month, leaving the lighter weight ones for another month or so.

Same here. It is going to be gorgeous today - low 60s but the high on Tuesday is 15! Coats/gloves/hats are not going anywhere yet for me, sadly.

I just can't imagine being that cold until the end of March. We will be in the 80s Monday and Tuesday and then down to highs of 50 and 48 for the next 4 days. That totally sucks for me.

We are the same as Pyrex with the "high" temps here and there. If it wasn't for the "breaks" in the weather I don't think I could take it either. Last week we had a high for this time of the year of 55 then 50 the next day. Then it plunged down to the teens the next day. Walkers/joggers actually put shorts on and are out on the walking trails that run through our downtown area when this happens. The little breaks keep them going. Way back in 1993 we had a huge snow blizzard in the middle of March. It was one of the latest in the winter that we ever had and it was a bad one.

I don't mind cold if it's sunny, like it was in ABQ. But cold, wet and gray skies? No way.
You could always list the coats for one cycle, then take them down until next winter.

Thanks for the input everyone! I realize it's still cold in much of the country, but I'm talking about heavy winter coats & I gotta think most people have already bought theirs by now. Putting them up for even 1 cycle means creating the listings & this time of year I always start weighing if it makes more sense to focus on creating Spring listings. I wish the time didn't go so fast!
We're like you Pyrex, 55 today, then 10 or so for the first 1/2 of next week. So today is a picture day, while I can enjoy the nice weather!

I would hold back on heavy coats - it's very cold in parts of the US and will be, but most people DO have winter coats at this point and will be investing in lighter weight items. If you have a time constraint and a choice in the matter, I would say store the heavy coats until next season and concentrate on the lighter stuff - sweaters, light jackets and the like. Desire - we're north of northern Maine insofar as latitude and if it weren't for our wet marine climate which buffers us, we'd be suffering those temperatures, too! As it is, it is just chilly and often wet here but usually in the 40s.

I just bought two new winter coats last week. A zipper broke in mine long faux down coat, so I went shopping. Macy’s and Dillard’s were all picked over, but I saw enough clearance stuff that I was inspired to shop online and found a short coat at Belk and. Long one at Nordstrom Rack. I like to buy in preparation for next year so I don’t have to pay full price and buy under pressure when I really need to buy.

I am about to list a pair of winter boots, but I already have the pictures done, and they are sitting in my living room so they have to go--which will just be to storage unfortunately--but I would say focus on spring stuff. I remember you have said you are a slow lister, as am I, so I always have things at the end of the season that I should have gotten listed but didn't. I heard of the auction site HiBid, and there is a local auctioneer who does auctions on line using it, so I am going to leave instructions for my kids to take my stuff to them when they have to clear out my place, unless I give up and use them before then.
