What a mess! I just want to list something new and always use the "sell similar" option.
Does anyone know how to opt out???

My "Sell Similar" is still the same. You must be in some kind of test.

I use it regularly to relist and it was OK the other day. Do you use templates? They're great time savers.

I had to run out for a bit and it is okay now. I can't even describe how horrible it was. And it did ask how I liked it. I certainly gave it the lowest possible rating.
It was all mostly black with multiple sections to change every possible aspect of the entire ad. If it comes back, I will post a screenshot. But if they adopt it, I am definitely going to close down.
With all of the new listing sites, eBay is shooting themselves in the foot with all of their requirements.
I would try to use my templates, but just find it easier to do a sell similar for that particular item.

I'm guessing it was the new Unified Listing Form or whatever they call it. Lots of people have been giving their reviews of it. I never use Sell Similar, so I can't be sure, but lots of ppl complaining about it being really ugly. The point is it's the same among all platforms.

The new Unified Listing Form is awful - I took it for a test run when it was still in beta and gave lots of feedback on the chat board they briefly had for it. Even the updated version is rubbish - mobile compatibility does not have to be that complicated.

I think the issue is that they want it the same across all platforms. The problem with that is that there's a REASON the operating systems are different. The goal doesn't necessarily make sense.

They stated the goal of mobile compatibility for a unified form, i.e., across web and mobile apps.

I haven't seen any posts about it. I can't even read it! I tried to revise a listing and it happened again. I can't imagine using that mess when they expect me to revise the 1,000+ plus listings with the IS. That will be when I jump ship.

They stated the goal of mobile compatibility for a unified form, i.e., across web and mobile apps. Yes, I know. I'm saying that it isn't necessarily a good goal. I understand the reasons for it. However, different OS's are different for a REASON, so it's gonna be ugly if they try to make them all the same. Which is apparently what happened. ETA: I should add that compatibility across all platforms & same user interface across all platforms is different, as I'm sure you know. My understanding is that this is beyond compatibility (which more or less already exists) & into the realm of wanting the exact same interface across all platforms.

I think only 1 or 2 here. The IS's are what the most complaints are about. But it does allow video which is nice. I haven't personally seen it yet. Just read the million posts.

I have read those, and I mostly read the Facebook boards. But those complaints aren't about the Beta form that I had today. I can make adjustments here and there as directed and those are mostly what the complaints are about.
But the screenshots that they are showing aren't at all what I had today. Not by a longshot.

Oh, well then I have no idea what you would have had. Mine looks totally normal.

Yeah - trying to be all things to all people, and not being very good at producing anything for anybody. Funny thing, though - Funky little Poshmark has managed it (though it's not so 'little' anymore - they now have 80,000,000 members, almost half of what ebay has I think? Just over 10 years since they started, and are not worldwide) with a very simple listing form.
