Denise, my eyes are like that because of the two different glaucoma drops I use. The first thing I do when I wake up, before I get out of bed, is put in lubricating eye drops. How do you like Restasis? It's out of my price range with my insurance, so I try other things. I have used Restasis for many years and am lucky that my co-pay is only $3. I am not sure if it is any better than the other drops, but it is supposed to be better.
Sorry about your glaucoma.

$3! I could get it for $633.72. That's horrible! I really don't see a difference between Restasis and Systane. Can your doctor prescribe something so that your insurance will pay for it?

I seem to be doing okay with the gel and ointment combination, along with cheap drops for the morning.

My brother had a setback but the antibiotics kicked in and his numbers are looking better. It helps that the first hospitalist is on vacation and he has a new one that seems more on board with addressing the problem. Of course the antibiotics are kicking his butt literally but he may be coming home next week if the numbers continue to improve.
They plan on doing a culture to figure out which antibiotic will work best.
I gave SIL the John Hopkins pancreatitis team information in case she decides to go that way.
SIL is bringing in his laptop each day so he can log into the health portal and they can read test results.
Thank you for all your good thoughts.

(((((labby))))))) Hoping he continues to improve! I ordered from a new-to-me BBQ place last night. They have a turkey sandwich that is sliced smoked turkey on a jalapeno cheddar bagel with cream cheese and raspberry chipotle sauce. YUM! I may have to order from them again. The smoked turkey is really good, even warmed up it's tender and not overly salted tasting. I think I'm going to watch Marry Me tonight. Peacock says I can stream it on my TV, although I suspect it will be with commercials. No biggie. I love JLo in romcoms and I like that this one is with two stars over 50, and the movie isn't trying to portray them as 20-somethings. I actually have some microwave popcorn on hand, along with Diet Dr Pepper. Movie night!

Continued prayers to your brother, labbypaws, for continued healing. I hope the antibiotics kick that infection to the curb.
I have to say I'm really impressed with FedEx. Not only do they have access inside the downstairs doors now, whoever delivers here climbs the stairs and leaves my packages right outside my apartment door, which is on the top floor. Today's package was a bit weighty, so it was really appreciated. Plus, it was a Goodwill auction I won on Wed., shipped Thurs. and delivered today from location in Michigan.
DH is off on a belated birthday present mini trip with the Yuppies so I'm picking up a pizza soon that will last me the next two days plus there are a few wings left from last night's dinner. No cooking for at least 2 days. Works for me.

I think I'm going to the grocery store in about an hour, and hopefully beat the Superbowl crowd that will most likely be out in swarms tomorrow.

I had to go into WM on Wednesday to return a humidifier that I had ordered online. First time I have been in WM for almost 2 years. I was surprised that half of the customers had masks on. So they are better than $ General currently, as far as masks.

I do not like going to Walmart at all, especially during the day. They still are closed when I get off and I am guessing they never go back to staying open late. They really need to turn the larger registers open for self checkout as it is a pain to check out without cashiers if one has a big order. I felt today was better than tomorrow. Got odds and ends - snacks… great day here. Shorts and T-shirt walking weather in February before the big dive on Sunday.

You guys reminded me I have a return to take to Walmart. Along with one for Belk, Macys, an Amazon return to Kohls, and a Big Lots return. Although I'm not sure if I kept the receipt for the Big Lots purchase I guess this weekend is return weekend

We're really having some amazing weather here right now and it's a big weekend with the Phoenix Open and Super Bowl Sunday. I've never been to the Phoenix Open, wouldn't mind going sometime in the future when the weather is like it is now. Tomorrow is my Clifford's birthday. I'm taking him to City Hall (Mastro's) Steakhouse. Nice and pricey but worth it on special occasions. Reserved a table on the patio at 6:00..... looking forward to it. Got him a bottle of cologne and lottery tickets considering it's v-day too. After this weekend I need to cut back on spending. Been treating myself way too much plus all the dental work.
Oh and I have an return too... to Amazon. Steve Madden knock off flip flops. Nothing like the real deal that I wear all the time. Need to get that done next week.

I have five sports bras to return - hate buying the things, and when I find one I like, I get about six. Title Nine discontinued both my favourites, and the substitutes are ridiculous - they have these pads - why in gawd's name does someone need padding in a sports bra? Some are removable but some are not (and they change the fit).

I can see where some women would want "enhancement" in their sports bra. Bliss, have fun tonight! ((((labby)))) I hope you get good news on your brother today. I have some returns to take in today. Then I think I'm going to fix the rest of the fake flower pots for the patio. And if I feel really industrious, I might repot the fern into a larger pot. But I'll need a bag or two of potting soil if I do that. BTW, Marry Me is really cute. The music numbers are great.

Big bake sale today for all the foster kittens that are sure to be arriving before we are ready for them. It seems like we are never ready soon enough each spring.
My foster, Twila, is definitely her mother's daughter when it comes to trust issues. Those feral teachings run deep with her.

How long do you think it will take before she's domesticated enough for adoption?
How's Terrell doing?

Some are removable but some are not (and they change the fit). I hate trying to get them on and off. I try to get ones with a front zipper and have a saved search for them. Some do look lumpy in the front. The Nike over the head ones - I have to buy a size larger so I can get the dang thing off when I finish walking. Usually if I wait a bit I can get it off without spending too much energy.

I drove out to York and back to see my brother today. Still only two of us allowed to visit. We switched off today and grabbed a bite to eat at the hospital. My brother went into isolation late yesterday. He got C-diff from the antibiotics. They were out of rooms so he is in a waiting area. Private bathroom, larger tv and it is quiet. Bad thing is he does not have a shower. He is looking much better.
Still shooting for a Friday discharge.

I am not worried about uniboob. Just want something I can get in and out of.

It is hard to tell with Twila. It will be awhile though for sure. We are going to switch the kits around between fosters next week to give them experiences in different households.
Giving Terrell his meds twice a day has become a test of wills. I think he is done with meds but we still have about 7 weeks to go. We go back to the vet again on Monday as she wants to see him before she goes on maternity leave. It is going to be a long 7 weeks for both of us.

I am not worried about uniboob. Just want something I can get in and out of. It's really hard if you're sweaty, that's for certain - they just get stuck and I swear I'm going to dislocate a shoulder or fall on my face or something one of these days, battling out of one after a really sweaty workout. I don't care about the uniboob, either - I want as FLAT as possible. Boobs are just an extraneous annoyance as far as I'm concerned, and mine aren't even particularly big.

Made a little over $800 yesterday from the bake sale and I probably gained 4 pounds sampling. Lots of neighbors came by so it was great to see people again that I haven't seen in a long time plus meet new folks that I always see posting on NextDoor. Today will be slower as Sundays usually are but still worth it to be there.

People LOVED it. They sent collars, toys, dog food etc. I bet people would eat up the idea of a "kitten shower" as well. Just an idea

Just an idea I could be wrong, but I think the bake sales are to fund the flights to Seattle and elsewhere to place the kittens. Angie/AHACS does have a wish list on Amazon for supplies she needs.

Val is right. We do have a Wish List on Amazon and some anonymous donor recently sent over $200 in stuff from the list to Angie. We have no idea who it was so we could thank them.
The bake sale money goes towards the flights to Seattle plus things that may not get approved through the city budget for the program. Kind of like a slush fund so Angie doesn't have to get something small approved or something where receipts for reimbursement aren't available. Always handy to have a little pocket money on the sidelines.
