Tell him to contact me directly as I can gladly make that happen. We do provide air transport service.
I will make it a point to post more kitten videos for him.

You know what you're getting when you adopt a foster cat of any age. Especially one of Kritter's kittens! Speaking of which, things went backwards for a few days here. Twila wouldn't stop doing something so she got hit with a squirt from the water bottle. It scared her so much that she stayed hidden except for food and litter box for a day or two. She's back to normal today but still not sure if she's going to let the big bad person who sprayed her with water and yelled at her last night pet her yet. She was climbing on my hanging clothes to get to the top, so yeah, she got yelled at Scolding aside, she's enjoying the view from all the windows and likes playing with Simon (until he bites her) so all is good for now.

Oh Twila, Twila, pushing boundaries, I see.
You reap what you sow, little calico girl.

I'm not worried about her. The water bottle offense hasn't been repeated so she's a fast learner. She doesn't run from the kitchen when we're both in there now either. She's figured out I'm the one putting down the canned cat food and sometimes sits there and meows at me, wanting me to put some down

She is still a kitten morphing into a teenager plus she is a spirited little thing.
Definitely one of my all time favorite fosters.

Tabby Just for you. Newest foster is here. Meet Mandy. She was rescued after being kicked by someone not identified. She might have a broken pelvis or some leg injury as she is dragging one of her back legs.

Oh sweet baby your new life is going to be wonderful. Kritter will get you all healed and ready to go to a furever home with great people. I wish I wasn't allergic to cats because that face just calls to me. She certainly landed in a great place and now has a great future.

Trying to line her up for a low cost x-ray tomorrow. If not, I will take her to my vet on Friday.
Not low cost by any means but I trust her.

Look at that face! I hope the xray shows what is it, and it's fixable. She's too adorable not to find herself a good home.

I just realized something. The "WTF kitty" in the opening pic on this thread is my Twila, right? I'm happy to report that her most common expression now is "what's up?" followed by "are you giving me any canned food today?". She and Simon play a version of soccer that really funny to watch. She hasn't come up on the sofa yet to snuggle but she did hop up on the bed yesterday morning while Simon and Trixie were up there for a morning pet session.

Yes, that is your Twila. Those were the trailer park kits who have all now been adopted.
It will happen. Chanel has been here for a year and this morning was the first time she ever walked up to me and asked to be petted. She usually scurries out of the way if I get close to her. Not sure if this was a one off or if we have crossed the trust threshold. Time will tell.

No low cost x-ray appointments until a week for tomorrow so I emailed my vet to see if she can work her in tomorrow. She is booked on appointments but can give approval for a drop off or a work-in appointment.
Unfortunately Thursdays are her day off so wanted to give her a heads up with all the background. I have a better relationship with her than I have with my own doctor and that is a good thing.

Fingers crossed for the new kitten, that she can get seen soon and start healing. I don't understand how people can be cruel to animals and kids. Adults can take care of themselves.

The vet called the clinic and told them to call me to set up a drop off for tomorrow morning so that is a good thing.
Mandy doesn't seem to be doing as well this afternoon. I am beginning to think there might be an internal injury that is kicking in. She finally did sorta poop but no pee yet which is not good if her bladder or kidneys were injured.
Keep your fingers crossed for her.

She made it through the night. Off to the vet to drop her off and stopping at HEB to bring baked goods with us in appreciation for working her in on a Friday before a holiday weekend.

Unfortunately, not good news. Broken femur right in the middle of the bone. Broken pelvis that is pressing on her bladder so she cannot urinate. Leg can be set but pelvis repair is just cage rest which won't take the pressure off the bladder. A new kitteh angel named Mandy will be waiting for me at the Bridge.

I'm teary-eyed that sweet little kitty's life ended so abruptly over a cruel, evil and senseless act. RIP, Mandy. You looked like an angel here and now you are one.

Aww, Kritter, I'm so very sorry. I'm just in awe of all the volunteers like you, who go through this heartbreak over and over, in the process of saving the ones who can be saved. Thank you for giving little Mandy her very best chance.

How heartbreaking. I hope she didn't suffer much pain with those breaks. Endings like this must be so hard for you, Kritter.

As strange as it may sound, it is easier to take them while hoping for the best but preparing for the worst than it would be to walk away because you don't want the heartbreak.
I know that I have been very fortunate in this life and this is my way of giving back plus I am hoping that by helping where I can I might be given a longer life to keep on taking care of the ones that are sent my way.
Like some kind of reap what you sow thing.

It doesn't sound strange to me at all. If you walk way, you'll always wonder "what if" or "could I have helped" and feel guilty. By helping and losing anyway, at least you know you did your best and the cat was warmed and loved at the end, and didn't die alone, cold, scared and in pain. Even when you lose a kitty, Kritter, you're still my hero for what you do.

Exactly! You said it so much better than I did. It is harder to walk away than it is to step in and give it your best shot. Most of all, I would hate feeling guilty that I could have helped but didn't. At least I know that we try.
LOLOL Kind of like in the Barney "Face of the Race" contest. When It got down to those last minutes, I knew I had to jump in and go for the win or I would be up all night with the "If I had just....".
At this age I know myself well enough to do what I need to do to sleep at night.

For every Mandy that you lose, Kritter, you have many, many, many Trixies, Tobys, Simons and Twilas that are in good homes now thanks to you.

I'm so sorry Kritter.
Fly free Mandy, you had a short hard life, but you were loved at the end.
