Three fosters from San Antonio arrived in Seattle last night to happy adopters. Pumpkin is one of the trailer park kittens. Timmy was from the litter of 8 from right before Christmas Noelle was next to the last from the litter of the 8 Christmas kittens. Their Mom and two of their siblings are also in Seattle. Toddy, the last one, is still in foster. Either he has some kind of congenital issue that causes him to wobble or he has a medical issue that is being treated for a few more weeks. If he doesn't get better than it has to be a congenital issue and we are not sure where to go from there. Noelle was a last day addition to the flight when Timmy and Pumpkin weren't happy as carrier buddies. Her new family was so happy she could come on this trip.

Awwwww, what cute adopters and adoptees. Except Noelle, she has that "Grumpy Cat" look or it could be jet lag.

Just had a call from Angie. She said that all adopters have already sent pics and videos and all are right at home with their new families.
Twila has moved to the foster home with Peach and Pecan so she can get some kitten playtime now that she has come over from the dark side. Peach flies to Boston in the coming days and Twila might just be adopted to the foster home with Pecan. If not, there are some applications in the works for Twila

I had full confidence you'd work your magic with Twila, Kritter.

Yay for Twila! Simon can attest to Kritter's magic with feral kitties.

I had full confidence you'd work your magic with Twila, Kritter. I think that secretly in her heart Twila wanted to be loved. We figure that her momcat told her that it was her duty to protect the other kits from harm and she took that responsibility very seriously. Once she didn't need to do that anymore, she relaxed and could enjoy life as a kitten. Plus I told her that I was not going to give up on her. Just like I told Simon. Simon was very lucky that Val picked him.

Simon is a total love bug. He sticks to me like velcro. I think he may have been a dog in an earlier life.

I can tell those Seattle people are part of my tribe. We have a kitten shortage here because spay and neuter are really strongly practiced, so here we are to adopt other kittens! When Cassie and Jamie send a bonded pair our way, they'll probably be yearlings, maybe that had to be given up - we are on the lookout, though won't be actively hunting for a while. The DH is struggling with catlessness - he's a crazy cat gent and has always had multiple cats, but we have plans to go overseas for an unknown length of time plus home renos - we don't want to put newly adopted cats through the stress of our being gone or having home renos. Our last home renos lasted five months but we had had our cats for years by then, and they just scrammed into the bushes or went about their business roaming wild outside. These guys will be indoor cats and the whole house will be ripped up this time.

Pecan, Twila's brother, came to my house yesterday. I am working on a new name for him. Testing out Trevor and Tucker for him but still not sure. Anyway, his foster was having issues with him so he is here to see what is going on. I think he is not feeling well and he had diarrhea this afternoon so pretty sure he has a vet visit in the near future. Pic is not that good as it was taken in my bathroom and not the best lighting to take a pic of a black cat. His eyes are not blue. He does have some dark orange highlights and two white back feet like he was trying to be a calico but couldn't' because he is a male.

Awwww, poor little guy. ❤️ I'm so glad he found his way to you, Kritter. He kinda looks like a Jackson to me, but maybe you've retired that name. If he was a little grayer, he could be a Smoky, since he's having a bad hair day...

Lil Jackson, now there is a blast from the past. I will try it out on him. Big shoes to fill.
This one is such a sad little guy. He is going to be a very handsome kitty once we get him back on track.

Awwww, he's still a cutie pie, even with the "Little Orphan Annie" eyes in that pic.

Please, a big "NO" to Tucker.
If you want a T name, maybe Tyler or Timmy?
Fingers and paws crossed here that you can get him feeling good again. He's going to be a cutie!

How about Oliver? I think he is going to be a very distinguished cat when he grows up.

You may have a practicing spay/neuter program but I think the shortage of sunlight in your area is also keeping the kitten population down. A cat's breeding cycle is controlled by the amount of daylight.
Studies show that cats need at least 12 hours of continuous daylight to start cycling. Since you are up there in cloud country with moss growing everywhere, 12 hours of sunshine is not all that common like it is down here. Less sunshine, fewer kittens

If you want Oliver, why not make it Sir Oliver? Other distinguished names: Alistair, Barnaby, Dylan, Jasper, Lawrence, Leopold, Milo, Rafferty, Sebastian or Tobias. Hmnn, I kinda like the name Barnaby for a cat, although I'm not sure if it fits your little guy since I haven't met him. Yeah, I googled distinguished men names How's he doing today?

I am liking Barnaby too.
He is pretty much the same. Not being a kitten at all. I am getting kinda pissed because this has been going on with him for quite some time and it is not getting fixed. For some reason taking him to the vet is not being considered because "What would the vet do".
Well, for one thing the vet probably knows a lot more than we do and could maybe figure it out. We are going to try fluids and take his temperature tomorrow. I don't have a cat thermometer but he feels too warm to me. I am about to yank his butt up and take him to the vet myself.

Is there a vet near you open on Sunday? Or are you taking him tomorrow?

They might call him Barney for short if you call him Barnaby.

He just told me his name. His name is Harley.
I don't know why I insist on naming them because in their own good time, they will tell me their name.

You should write a book on cats based on your vast experiences. I swear it would be a best seller.
