I pulled up an existing listing to edit it and noticed it said First class for my shipping and 1-2 pounds in the weight. I knew I hadn't changed anything yet so I decided to save it to see if it took it, and it did! WTH! I pulled up another listing that had first class shipping on it and changed it to 1-2 pounds, and it took it also. The one I discovered it on should have been PFRE, and that really concerns me!!
I am in the process of moving my listed stuff to a storage unit, and I decided to go tote by tote weighing things before I take them to storage so I can just print a label and attach it when I pull it. Now I am afraid to go to all this work and then have ebay screw something up when they go to fix the glitch.

Today I have a pair of men's shoes to ship, and it says the buyer paid for a PFRE. I do sometimes choose PFRE for women's shoes, but not for men's. It's possible I made a mistake, but it also worries me that it's ebay. A long time ago, the weight was changed on a bunch of listings to 1 ounce. It never got fixed. That's one of the reasons I went to a flat rate first class amount so I wouldn't lose money when so many of them weighed 13-16 ounces, and the buyer was getting charged for the lowest first class rate. I had one of those come through a couple of months ago. There could still be some out there since there is no easy way to see the weight on listings.

I had the shipping on an ornament changed last month. I do not use flat rate boxes. It was no biggee. In fact the shipping shown was more than the cost of shipping it.

You don't specify *where* you are seeing this 1-2 lbs. But I just randomly checked 3 of my items, an ancient one, a brand new one & a year ago & they all are absolutely fine. Just as I'd set them.
Further, I tried to change a FC one to 1-2 lbs & got this error in bold red:
It looks like there's a problem with this listing. Domestic shipping - Package weight is over the weight limit for service USPS First Class. The maximum weight is 1 lb.
So, I'm totally lost as to what/where the problem is.
ETA: I did this on a PC.
