Sunny and cold and will be cold and colder the rest of the week. Snow's supposed to start around 7pm. Stiff iffy how much we'll get, but consensus is between 3-7" through tomorrow morning. We're in the southwest end of our county so hope it's on the lower end. Worst part will be shoveling behind the Cube from where snow piles up from the plow clearing the main drive (parking is on either side). Can't complain for dodging it this long. Might as well go over MIL's to do a load of laundry while it's nice outside. Just hope power stays on.

aaand we have a blizzard here! Started slowly at 1, and is going whole hog now. Sitting here with my iPad under my monitor and I am watching the blizzard through my Ring door camera.

The fog lifted after a couple of days but it never really got light out - I went for an easy 2 1/2 mile run - I'm still creaky after Dickens ran under my legs and dumped me. I have a feeling my running friend will keep the pup under very strict control from now on! The springer spaniel he walks got nuts and bit him on the hand and there was blood everywhere - his dog walking job can at times be hazardous as well as dog running!
Just loaded up the back of my stationwagon and hauled about 20% of my inventory to the local Value Villaaaage - I go up there (the closest is in the next county) so I can get a 20% coupon to use when I'm traveling and it's not senior day. Ready to clear off more racks tomorrow.

labbypaws So so to hear that! Dogs are family members and they take a piece of our heart with them. Even when it's the right call it doesn't make it any easier.

Snowing like crazy here. Still below 30. Kids coming back to college and we are very, very busy.

Snowing here too but not that heavy yet, we're supposed to get 3-5 inches. I hope it's the lower number but where we're located always gets the brunt of every storm. It's still bone-chilly cold out, can't seem to get warmed up. The town plows are out in full force, heard them go by 3 times already in the past hour. I was sitting here thinking about them as they went by, about how much we used to love to hear that sound when we were kids - it almost always meant no school the next day. It's such a distinct sound and somehow the sound of the plows chugging along on the road is still somewhat comforting. Don't know why, except maybe the memories.

We may have gotten 2 inches before it turned to freezing rain and rapidly changed to a downpour of rain. Just crappy out. May turn back to snow in the morning. Made it home ok.

It iced over this morning. Black ice. Luckily I figured it out right away. Temps had risen overnight and now are hovering around freezing. Snowing this morning.

We had sleet yesterday and the power went out for about 3 hours in the afternoon. Luckily, it came back on before it got dark. I'm in NC.

We have about 8-9" here and might get an additional 2-3" this afternoon. The roads are bad and my daughter is not having fun visiting her patients.
It is pretty though.

Sad and difficult afternoon. I was napping and hubby woke me up. The Lab in my avatar collapsed. I checked him out and we took him to the emergency vet. Hemangiosarcoma of the spleen. It ruptured. They could have operated but he was almost 11. Vet said most only last 4 months after emergency surgery. We decided to let him die in peace. He was my best walking partner. We will miss him. RIP Patton. I don't know how I missed this labbypaws , I am so very, very sorry for your loss of Patton I feel like I knew him b/c of your posts about him. RIP sweet Angel. My breaks for you & your family (((Labby & family))).
