I stopped shipping internationally a few years ago. However, a buyer in the Netherlands contacted me about an item. I changed the shipping on that item to include shipping to Europe and I added a small handling fee.
I just received a message from her. "Thank you very much for your reply.
I think you added the shipping costs to the buying price now right?
Because I see the price is higher now, but still no option for shipping to the Netherlands....
Would it be possible for you to check?
Thank you very much !"
I didn't change the item price, and I'm not enrolled in GSP. What's going on? I just looked at the listing through the link on her message, so I'm seeing it in Dutch. (The item price is still the same.) An online translator says that shipping cannot be calculated. How do I fix this? Do I need to enroll in GSP?

I would probably just add GSP.

If you don't want to post the item, can you pm it to me? I can take a look at it and see what it does.

No, you don't need to enroll in GSP, nor should you, if you're comfortable shipping to her directly, b/c she will likely get sticker shock since GSP requires all the fees to be paid up front & many say it's much higher than if you ship directly.
I would try Labby's suggestion, as I have also had to add them to the exemption list, since I had the setting on to not allow buyers in registered in a country that I don't sell to. IDK why the price would look higher. But if you have that setting on, you need to exempt her.

I added her to the exemption list, but she still couldn't buy it. I don't know why. I then took 57Roses' suggestion and added that one item to GSP. That worked and she bought it. Interestingly, it seems that GSP doesn't recognize my 3 day handling time. The email says, "Your item sold. Ship it ASAP" and instructs me to ship it within one day. Pantlandia I just saw your post. This is the item. www.ebay.com/itm/255274793989

The Netherlands isn't blocked on it, but yes shipping went up to $27.27. So, it would seem she is blocked at a buyer level, but the exemption list should have fixed that. It's possible she's on a list that eBay only knows about that will only allow her to buy thru GSP. Who knows

That's an interesting idea. You never know with eBay.
