I'm considering buying something. The measurements given are not clear. I sent a question asking for clarification but received no answer. Now I have a reduced offer. If it doesn't fit and I give that as an answer will they still have to pay for all my cost?
I almost never have to return anything. If I don't ask the right questions or read the description carefully and get something I can't use then I don't blame anyone but myself.

It means you can return for any reason, on the seller's dime.

If the seller has the item as returns accepted, they take returns for any reason at all. If the seller says returns are free, then they are free no matter what the reason for the return.
Ebay will ask you to pick a reason (doesn't fit used to be one of the choices).

As a seller who offers this return, I can tell you that all I get is a notification that it's being sent back and an option to send them a label thru eBay or one of my own.
