Funny, it’s where I live, too.

Oh! LOL. I was wondering if that was targeted. But I do remember a lady last year who was almost robbed coming out of Giant Eagle.
Oh well. In the event that I ever leave the house, I will feel safer. Just like the fictitious Ruth Miller.
I had 2 strangers come to my front door on different days in the past week, so I have been antsy.

Where I live too!! Name of the lady is Ruth Miller. Is that the same or different for everyone else?

Ruth Miller near me, too. Such a coincidence! I wonder if this has happened to a bunch of different Ruth Millers or if one Ruth Miller gets around and is followed by the same mysterious mugger?

Yep, Ruth Miller here who is 76 years old.
Poor old gal. She can't get to a grocery store without being mugged no matter where she is.

Ruth Miller lives in Albuquerque too, that old broad sure gets around!
Totally a targeted ad.
Through a quirk in my IP it shows I live in Albuquerque & not 200 miles away where I actually live. Anytime I get ads for Albuquerque I know it's just targeted at my IP.

The town matching my physical address is Georgetown. We actually live well out of the city limits. We have a twice a week local paper that would've had a story about the attack on Ruth Miller if it were true.
I can just imagine the confusion this scheme would cause if someone from a very small town the size I lived in as a child, would happen on this ad. Everybody knew everyone else, so there'd be questions about who Ruth Miller was, when did she move here and where could this have happened, etc.

This has the makings of a new Terminator movie. First, go after all the Sarah Connors, now the Ruth Millers.

Really good way to sell those alarms! I imagine that the site from which they are advertised charges a lot more. But I know better than to click on it.
Scary that it showed up on my CNN page though.
However, I didn't know that that type of alarm ever existed. I carry around a 20-year-old container of mace and would probably spray myself in the face if it even works anymore.
This alarm should be safer.
I have a PFA on my almost ex son-in-law, so I am always on the look-out when I am outside.

Anyone named Ruth Miller ought to proceed with caution, or change her name. It's dangerous being Ruth Miller anywhere in America today.
That kind of dishonesty in advertising is sleazy and convinces me not to buy what they're selling.

That was my thought too. Not even tempted to buy that product because of their advertising.
Didn't look it up but probably some cheap junk from China.

I tried to do that before Covid, but no one carries it anymore. At least not in my area. I tried Walmart and Dick's.

Get OC spray instead of mace. Should be able to get it at any gun shop or online. It would ship ground.

I got my alarm today and I KNEW that I should put in my earplugs before trying it. My hearing will never be the same. It definitely will wake the dead.
Kudos to Ruth Miller and her travels!
