Do all the October kitties get candy names for Halloween? They are so squealicious!
These are our only October kits so they got Trick or Treat names.
The 8 kits that are around 2 1/2 weeks old will be ready for adoption around Thanksgiving so they will all have Christmas names.

Note to self: do NOT visit Kritter until all kittens are gone. My little apartment is at its cat limit.

OK, we are ready for kittens. Vacuumed the rugs/floors and mopped the kitchen floor. Litter boxes topped off.
Bring them on! I haven't told the Missy family. It will be a surprise.

Are there any kitten pics yet? BTW, Simon likes to sit on the scale in the bathroom in the mornings while I brush my teeth. He appears to be about 7 lbs now.

No kit pics yet. They are a little spooky right now and just getting adjusted to their new digs.

Looks like there is another transport to Seattle in the works.
Leo and Loki got adopted here.
So far it looks like Lucy and Hershey are bound for Seattle and there are still adoption applications for Skittles and Snickers in the works.
Two more kits, Hannah and Harvey, were dumped in a nasty carrier on a street near me last Friday and they will go up on the Seattle Petfinder this week. They will be spayed/neutered tomorrow and come here Thursday in exchange for the Kandy Kits going to Angie's office.
That will leave the 8 kits that are about 3 weeks old that should be ready for adoption around Thanksgiving. Hopefully we will be done with them being the last for this year.

Kandy Kits are gone, thank heaven, and the H kits, Hannah and Harvey, are here. They are a little older that the KKs and so they can be in with the Missy Family instead of ransacking my bathroom.

The Missy Family is totally cranky and hissing at the kits and each other.
Lots of feline tension abounds at every turn. The MFs are such drama queens. I told them to get over it because the kits will probably be here until the transfer to Seattle which we are hoping they get chosen to be on.

Co-ordinated napping in the toy baskets limits the toy selection for the cats who are awake.

Looks like we may have 6 going to Seattle. Lucy from the L kits, the 3 Kandy Kits, and the H kits who may be going to the same home.
That will leave the 8 Christmas Kits who are only around 4 weeks old.

Angie flew five of my fosters to Seattle yesterday. Originally only three were going but we did a big email/texting push last Saturday during the bake sale and two more found their homes and were quickly prepped and added to the flight. This little girl has been waiting for Lucy for weeks while the trip was organized. Harvey was one of the last minutes additions to the traveling squad.
Have a great life, little ones.

The five kittens that traveled to Seattle all got there safely and early reports are that all the kittens moved right into their new homes like they had been there all their life.
Next trip is scheduled for early December and it looks like I will be making the trip as it will probably be too cold for them to go in cargo. The plane ride in cargo is climate controlled but the cold part is between the time they are unloaded from the plane and are taken to the airport baggage claim area. Angie said the kittens felt cold when she took them out of their carrier this trip and the temperature was in the low 40s. Will probably be much colder in December.
We have some great kits in foster now so they will be snapped up plus there is already one adult cat on the transport list.

Jingles is just adorable. 💖
That little striped face and spotted tummy and the black leather paw pads!
I'm just a pushover for a tabby kitten... *sigh*

It usually doesn't get much colder than 40s here, if it does, it's a night and not that often, but the kits may appreciate a warm ride, anyway!
