It looks like the potential buyer loses the shipping discount when they counteroffer, is that correct? I offered $15 and $4.99 shipping, and my earnings showed it would be $9.88. She countered with $14 and my payout shows it will be $11.05.

Apparently so. I never checked up it to verify, but that has been the rumor.

That is correct.

Correct. The buyer also gets a pop-up telling them they will lose the discount when they initiate a counteroffer.

I didn't know that kat so that's good to find out. I often wondered how they would feel about losing the discount. Geez, some people have trouble with math, don't they?

I was kind of stunned when I realized I was being paid more but thought what the heck, she could have figured it out. Finding out she got a pop up stuns me even more.

I get regular questions about things that I've already detailed in the description. SMH.

Add me to the list of idiot buyers. I once received an offer and clicked on it. I went and re-read the description then purchased. Later I noticed the offer amount on the email and it was a lot less than I paid. I wrote to posh support asking/complaining about the discrepancy. It ends up that after I re-read the description I didn’t follow the offer link and paid full price and shipping. Poshmark gave me a credit and the seller received the full price. Learning from my mistakes I suppose.

Posh may take 20% but I feel like they really earn it.

I really don't mind paying 20% to Posh BECAUSE they don't mess around with the sellers in strangely draconian ways. The buy/sell transaction is what it is and buyers pay shipping which is also clear as a bell simple. No hidden fingers on the scale or hands in my pocket when I'm not looking :-) I may give Posh another go when I return to work in August... gave myself July off.

It was less than $3 difference so I didn't worry about it, but I definitely paid more than the offer was for.
