They look gross but you can clean birkies up very nicely. They have foodbed cleaner that works great. They also have cork sealant and suede cleaner, even a little kit with most everything you need. But the sole worn through to the cork at the heel? The sole impressions gone on half each shoe? You can't clean or fix that stuff.

A lot of it was the sole worn right through - I should have pointed that out.
