I'm locked out of my Godaddy Bookkeeping account because they want me to pay $120 to renew my eBay subscription. But I made an annual payment on July 29th thru the program itself, which cleared just fine. I just finished a chat with GD bookkeeping where the rep assured me that I don't owe anything now (took a screenshot of that, lol) and that if I clear my cache etc I'd be able to log in. I did all that and still can't log in. Does eBay have anything to do with the the bookkeeping program now? I thought Outright was gone. Totally confused yet again I thought that since it was originally an eBay subscription maybe I could access it thru my seller hub. But when I use the link thru the 'manage 3rd party applications/godaddy bookkeeping' link, it asks me for my Godaddy user name & password. These are completely different than what I use on Godaddy for bookkeeping. Has anyone run into this problem and resolved it? Dang I hate this stuff!!

some wise person here suggested that i go through a link in an email from them and that worked like a charm. I also had the damdest time trying to get into my account once they left ebay. i have no idea why they have to make it soooo hard!
i cant help you on which to use--i personally like godaddy, but i have considered ditching it due to cost.

I just reread the email and I'm supposed to log in to my account by the 15th or my accounts stop importing. That's not a big deal as I can import the data manually once this is cleared up. I just spoke to GD and have to wait until Monday AM cause there's no one from the right department in on the weekend. It's annoying but a great time of year to resolve this. My credit union isn't compatible with them so tracking my Etsy finances is a PITA. I've been considering switching to a different system; need to get something that works with EVERYthing :-)
The rep I talked to said there was no record of my account with Godaddy bookkeeping; I've been using the program at least 5 years. The message I get says my Ebay subscription has expired and I need to renew it. So obviously one hand doesn't know what the other is doing. Maybe I paid the wrong invoice. Someone should be able to sort this out without a lot of drama. At least I hope so :-)

That would be because you have to set up an account with GoDaddy Bookkeeping - it's completely separate because GoDaddy is no longer a third party app for eBay. Once you sign up, your records should import into your new account. GoDaddy Bookeeping is a sort of separate offshoot of GoDaddy, apparently, so you use other GoDaddy services (they host one of my domains) you'll need to treat this as a separate account. If not, it's just your GoDaddy bookkeeping account.
What I can't figure out is how you got both bills to begin with - maybe because it's that I'm monthly payment, but my account simply went into arrears - I couldn't figure out what was going on so I investigated it and found out the above, set up a new account and was good to go. Hopefully their CS will get your payment transferred over.
I'm good at math but not very good with financial tracking - I don't even know what I've got in my pocket from day to day - so GoDaddy/Outright has really been a boon for me and made tax records so much easier. Not sure what kind of tax program I'll use when we're finally all forced into managed payments.

My credit union isn't compatible with them so tracking my Etsy finances is a PITA. I've been considering switching to a different system; need to get something that works with EVERYthing :-) The problem is your bank, not Godaddy. You also won't find a software program that "works with everything" because of the banks. Many credit unions don't offer bank feeds and they only export to a Quicken file. We HATE it at the office when we get a client who uses a credit union. We charge them more to do their work because the credit unions are dinosaurs when it comes to usable technology. You're better off changing to a bank with more tech offerings. If you want to stay with your current credit union but need a webconnect file to download data into whatever accounting software or online program you use, get an AutoEntry subscription. You can upload pdf of the bank statement and it will convert the data into multiple formats, one of which will probably work with whatever accounting product you use.

I downloaded my file into a Mac spreadsheet last year and manually did the categories. But I noticed we can now categorize our transactions online so will mess around with that and see if it helps. As the reluctant accountant for our businesses I've learned whatever I've HAD to learn as needed over the decades. I'm really quite happy with Godaddy and would prefer not to change accounting programs.

GoDaddy has always had the capability of catagorising transactions from whatever feed it gets - when it was an eBay third party it was from Paypal.

Talked to GD tech support today after being able to log in with my GoDaddy (domains & stuff) info. I have a bright & shiny EMPTY brand new account with NONE of my 5 years of data. Apparently when I was doing my taxes this past October eBay still was supporting their end of the bookkeeping but cut the cord completely sometime after that in October. The gal valiantly tried her best to help but all my info is gone and I have to recreate/reimport all my 2019 data now. I'll deal with that tomorrow.
Ironically the email warning from eBay saying my subscription needed to be renewed or I'd lose my ability to import data gave me a link to create a files with my old data, which I did. But now, since my old account doesn't exist with Godaddy anymore I can't access it. Thanks eBay. Sigh... time to schlep groceries.

bumping this thread....
NOW i have the same issue as Retro and the live support person was from godaddy only and insisting that you can only get support help thru email for the bookkeeping.
it is not recognizing even my email address and it is therefore not even sending me a change password email so i'm completely shut out. my last log in would have been mid-sept for Q3 taxes.
i'm VERY frustrated at the moment.
(i just searched both my regular email AND my ebay messages and i have nothing from godaddy or outright about doing anything. last weekly summary was at the end of sept)

Sorry about that. I went through the same thing last year. I got the same run around until they figured out I had a bookkeeping account. They were able to transfer me to a bookkeeping rep who was able to get my account back. I never received a renewal email. I had been paying about $50. per year since way back when and it would have been $120 or so to reinstate. They gave me a break but said when it renews in April that I will have to pay full price. Not sure if I will renew. I really like the service but sales have slowed way down and I'm not sure it's worth keeping up.

sigh. yeah--that's todays project....to set up a new account. honestly i'm disgusted with their business model...i have no idea why there were no warnings or notices WHEN I SIGNED ON IN SEPT. there should have been some indicator or flag or something to show an issue before they just evaporated my account. and i find it bs. you are telling me they just delete years of financial records like that? ? i really find it impossible to believe.
