Here is what I got: The splits are concerning. I'm worried that they will be useless after a few weeks. Also I was a little suprised at the heel wear. Am I expecting to much for something in "great" condition? I already sent back my first posh order because the seller didn't mention the stains and hole. Would you accept these shoes in this condition? Be honest with me. I have on my big girl panties.

No, you are not being too picky. Those shoes you got don't even look like the same shoes in the pics.
I wouldn't accept those shoes as a buyer and I sure wouldn't sell those shoes as a seller either.

You're not being picky. I wouldn't have even picked those shoes up for $1 for me to use personally. What you received is not what is in the sellers picture. I think she stole another sellers pictures, TBH.
Return them.

Thank you for your quick response.
I think I'll contact Poshmark and let them decide.
Ugh.

That is what I thought too. They look like stock photos.
I quit looking at stuff on Posh because the listings that I looked at seem to include fewer pics than on ebay and never have measurements.
it seems to me to be some kind of sorority thing with all the sharing and parties and love notes stuff.

Those are the same pics in both listings.
Does your Posh seller live in Alaska?

I was rather surprised at how scuffed up they were but, you know, they are used. I hadn't thought that she lifted someone else's pics.

I'd mention that to Posh - do they have a report feature?

Those are the same pics in both listings. Does your Posh seller live in Alaska? No, Ames, Iowa. If I DO decide to buy from the Alaska seller, you can bet I'll be asking some questions! I know as eBay sellers, we get annoyed with "are there stains, holes, yada yada" ASQs but now I know why they ask them!

Used shoes should have more pics of the "used" areas. I sell mostly new shoes but even then I have pics of all sides, front back, and upside down.
Used shoes should have all areas shown in pics unless the seller is trying to pull a fast one. Did she actually think that you wouldn't notice?

I guess! But notice, I did. At any rate, it's in Posh's review now. I was neutral (i.e. not pissy) about it and just stated the facts. I also followed up the case including that the photographs were "borrowed" from an eBay listing. Let's hope Poshmark gives me a credit. It's not the end of the world if they decide against me. I was just looking for something more stylish than rain boots on the platform when it rains. Could I possibly have a third terrible buy? LOL

I would not consider those in 'great shape' and that isn't just wear and tear, that is damage.

Those are unwearable - dollars to doughnuts the soles will start disintegrating, too. Man, you are having some awful luck with Posh buys! What's that other gubbins she's got in her Posh listing? Other shoes?
ETA: That other listing on eBay - 40 Dansko is not 9.5 - it's 8.5.

LOL I know, right. If it wasn't for bad luck, I'd have no luck at all (Rodney Dangerfield quote)!
Actually, the seller has already responded to the case saying she didn't intentionally mislead me and just didn't see the splits. She didn't address the sole issue or the eBay pic issue. She asked that I send it back but I need to wait for a ruling from Poshmark as they will be the ones to issue the return label. So we wait. They were pretty quick last time so I hope they are equally amenable this time.
Chap, while you are here: Do you have any recommendations on books about writing children's books? TYIA

The shoes have been worn to death! It takes a lot to wear a Dansko heal down that much, and it's uneven wear . Not to mention the splits. I would be upset to receive them and the seller should be embarrassed to have sold them.

TYIA Did she explain how she also missed the excessive wear on the heels? She gets them back, she's just going to foist them off on to some other buyer.

Poshmark approved return and sent me a label. Just back from PO They are on their way back. Two out of two were not as described. I need to figure out how to weed out the bad ones. I really thought I did better this time than the first time. What the hoohay! I got to hand it to Poshmark, tho. They backed me up on both problematic orders. But, sheesh! What bad luck to have both of my first two orders go off the tracks!

I'd be curious to see if that seller tries to sell them again with the same pictures. If she did, I'd be tempted to report her.
I had someone on eBay buy from me, when I wouldn't let her return it (this was when I was no returns), she decided to sell it since she was a seller too. It was used, from my personal closet, and advertised as such. She opted to sell it as new without tags. I reported her. eBay took down the listing (obviously this was a LONG time ago, LOL).

unknown - I lied - actually, Dansko has 40 as 9.5 - 10, so my size 8.5 feet (wearing 40 Danskos) must have magically grown a size...but just for Danskos. My cousin who has size 10 feet wears 41 or 42 Danskos (I know, because I'm always looking for them for her at thrifts). Poshmark is good at settling claims, even if they sometimes take a little while to do it.

Both have been at about the 24 hour mark which is pretty darn good. I really do think that there is some joe(shepine) who has to read and look at the pics. gah!
Mine was very civil - easy peasy
I just purchased brand new Danskos (Mary Janes) on Amazon, size 40 and I'm a 9.5 in length but with a wide, hmmm foot pad (?). So a bigger toe box is sometimes necessary and then I have to go to a 10. Those Dansko would have been perfect. I might buy the eBay one. Although, I do wonder about my ability to buy things these days!
I might just stick with my unattractive galashoes.
