How many listings did you have up and/or how long until you got a sale. I'm getting discouraged already...

My first sale was Sept 20, 2018. Maybe a few weeks after I started-I can't remember. And I don't know how many items that I had listed-maybe about 50? It was a plus sized top. I don't sell a lot...23 so far this year. But I refuse to cut the prices down to almost zero profit.
I am slower on Mercari, but have less listed there.

About a week after I started listing - can't remember but I think I had about 15 items running.

Posh is slow, as is Mercari and Etsy. But I have sold items on those sites that did not sell on eBay. I think that it is still worth it since the other sites are so easy to list on.
Don't forget to send offers to the people who liked your items. That has worked for me.

I listed 5-6 items almost exactly 2 years ago. Posh wasn't available on the computer and my phone was slow and stupid. There was no easy way to copy photos from ebay. I spent 2 hours listing 5 items and decided it was too much of a trouble, and decided not to bother. About month later I opened my email (which I NEVER do) and saw a message from Posh screaming at me to ship, because it's been 5 days since the sale I got back to Posh 6 months after that when they became available on computer. Listed 50 items or so before I got my second sale.

How many listings did you have up and/or how long until you got a sale. I'm getting discouraged already... And don't get discouraged. Work on it. Share you closet multiple times a day (plain "share to followers). Pick two big sellers a day and follow all their followers (this is much easier to do on phone, not computer). Twice a day for 10-15 minutes just share random stuff from your feed or do a search for a brand that you have a lot of items of and share the results. Basically, be active there and so something Your task is to gain as many followers as possible. I do that and average 2.5-3 sales a day.

I think I had over 50 listings before I had a sale. I had one right away, (but it was a test and underpriced) and then it seemed like an eternity until the next one. (probably 3 or 4 weeks) Last year before offer to likers started it seemed liked CCO days didn’t happen very often so those always brought action. @makinmagic do you remember when doing price drops, sometimes the shipping discount would be free (posh paid), or am I remembering wrong?

I think part of it also is having items that people on there will buy. When I ran out of those my sales tanked - I may have a few a week and that's about it. Not sure it's worth all of the sharing, etc., for that. I look at some of the other people here who Posh and generally everyone gets more for most of their items than do I, but they also have much more relevant brands, so I think selection is important (as I've said before, I'm pretty fashion dumb). I'd be rich if Alfred Dunner and Christopher and Banks did great on Posh, because that's got to be about half of what I find.

I have so much stuff from stuff-a-bag sales recently. I’ll stuff that bag full of anything in great condition because it’s a small shop any everyone is stuffing. Stuff.
I have listed some things that I questioned myself about. I’m not one to put items aside and it’s so quick to just toss stuff up. I’m fine with those bag items selling for $10. It’s interesting to see people quickly buy no name Ross types and brands like Wet Seal, Cache, Venezia when it wouldn’t be worth time filling out the item specifics on ebay to try them. The stuffabag promo is over in summer so I won’t get more inventory can sell for $10 unless I travel to a bin store. It’s tempting.

I think I had a sale within a week of starting; it was an Arc'teryx wool top I way underpriced to see if I could jumpstart sales. That worked then crickets till I got maybe 40+ items listed. My closet does well-ish as long as I'm listing and sharing. When I take time off it's crickets.
Don't get discouraged... keep plugging away. If I can do it, you can too :-) Once I read about being an ambassador I made that my mission so was super-active. My daughter also joined so I have a Posh-buddy to shop & share with locally; I need that kind of motivation.

I made another sale overnight (Patagonia top), and it was to a newbie. In fact, most of my sales are to new people. So they must be searching for a particular brand.

They had $.99 shipping for awhile. It was bananas.

None of that here and if one does find it, it's the end of the day church rummage, and rummage sales here are plundered by pickers first thing, then by the time it gets to the stuff-a-bag, it's all double knit old folks stuff. Haven't had any luck, though, unloading brands like cache and the like - I just don't have the eye, I think. Fell off the sharing wagon when I was out of town, but I guess I'll keep going - I have a feeling I'll be doing better in the winter because I have far more winter stuff than summer!

Got my first sale! $20 for a Nygard 3X Top. I had it at $25, she offered $18, and I countered for $20. She also got $3.99 shipping because Posh offered it to my first buyer. Hopefully the ice is broken now and lots more follow. I have 40 listings up. Shooting for 100 by the end of the week, but I’m watching the grandkids three days each week, and they wore me out the first day!

@makinmagic, absorbing your advice led me to an “aha!” moment. I have been trying to follow everyone who follows me by looking at my feed. The problem with that is that some of the ones who follow me are ones that I was already following plus it takes two clicks to follow anyone through the feed. You telling me to pick a person and follow all the ones they are following showed me I could use one click to follow people—so much easier! The aha moment came when I realized I could look at my followers and easily see the ones I wasn’t already following! And it only takes one click to follow them! Probably you all already know this (and maybe even told me but I didn’t get at the time) so maybe documenting it here will help the next poor, lost PM’er like me. Now I can just look at my feed for shares and likes by looking for the pics (as Denise mentioned previously). Yay! Thanks everyone for your assistance (and patience).
ETA, one of the people I chose to follow her followers had probably 200-300 guys named Adam. I had no idea there were so many men on PM.

thanks for the encouragement. What does searching on a brand that I have a lot of and sharing those do? TONS of back shares, new followers, people interested in this brand looking at your closet and seeing something they like. Must be a coincidence, but last night I shared like 500 Anthropologie items and sold an Anthro top this morning to someone with closet full of Anthro whose stuff I did share.

Now that I figured out how to do it with one click, it goes pretty quick.
