I sold a pair of American Eagle jeans on poshmark. They had a tiny slub on the back where 2 threads were tied together creating a little bump, a normal thing that I have never made a big deal of before. Well, a brand new Posher buys these jeans and then proceeds to open a damaged item case. Sends a picture of a different pair of jeans with a frayed hole and Poshmark sides with her. She sends them back and, lo and behold there's a little sluB! Not a hole! So I send a picture to the case and they basically said its the cost of doing business and ignored me from there on. Think they are taking CS lessons from the Ebay reps.

It seems to be how some get around the no returns for fit etc.

sunsetpainter, did your fees get refunded when the buyer got refunded? Maybe it hasn't been as prevalent on Poshmark so they haven't put anything in to place to deal with it, and if it continues to become a problem, they will respond accordingly. Not having any history with them, I can hope, right?

I would post her ID on the Facebook Posh forums.

Not having any history with them, I can hope, right? With Poshmark they wouldn’t keep fees. I’m assuming like typical Poshmark returns, Sunset did not receive any payment because the buyer didn’t accept.

The payment was held in "Pending" until I got them back, then it was refunded to the buyer. The buyer paid $25 and they refunded her the whole amount. I do not think I was charged any fees on this transaction.

Thanks for confirming that. The poshers that get so upset over returns probably have never had one on eBay. I haven’t had a return but knowing I’m not out shipping both ways is a plus.

That's what I was really concerned about...that they would make me pay return shipping. But they just returned the $25 to the buyer out of my "pending" area. I don't know who paid to ship it back.

Poshmark pays shipping for returns. I had one case where I disclosed a flaw and the buyer complained about something. This was before they’d let you know details of a case. Poshmark released my funds and refunded the buyer and let her keep it. The other I had was for fit, she claimed my measurements were wrong and it was denied.

👍 Not having to absorb return shipping reduces the fee differential.
