Here’s the text version of the notice, if anyone else has issues.
———— Since launching Poshmark in 2011, our vision has been to make buying and selling fashion social, fun, and simple for all. What began as a platform for women’s fashion is now a leading fashion marketplace for women, men, and kids, with new categories continuously being added through our immersive Posh Markets.
Over the last year, we’ve been focused on many areas of growth to expand our offerings and make Poshmark available to more communities and cultures around the globe. Today, Poshmark is taking its first international step by launching Poshmark Canada in beta.
With this update you will be able to switch between the CAN and US marketplaces, allowing you to see listings and engage with the entire international community. We have designed the experience to foster connection across Poshmark; spreading the Posh Love through likes, comments, and shares, and sparking inspiration between our Canadian and American users. At this time, international shipping will not be available between countries, however a Posher in the United States can purchase an item from a Canadian seller if it is shipped to a Canadian address, and vice versa.
Our growth doesn’t end there. We’re also excited to announce that soon, Poshmark will expand its departments to include Home. Starting tomorrow, you may list items that fall within our home catalog, which includes a robust set of categories to meet all your style and decor needs. Although we’ve expanded our offerings beyond fashion, you will still be able to choose your shopping and selling experience by switching Markets. For example, if you only want to shop for women’s fashion, you can switch to the Women’s Market.
This is just the beginning, as we’ll continue to expand our global reach and new category offerings. However as we scale, our vision remains the same: to empower our entire community of Seller Stylists to buy and sell with ease.
We are excited and honored to continue to partner with you and grow together. Thank you for being a part of our journey and for all your support, kindness, generosity, and love!
Regards,
Manish Manish Chandra Founder & CEO, Poshmark

Did they improve their search function? Last time I tried to shop there, the search (as a buyer) sucked. That was last fall. Hopefully it's better by now?

Yes, I read that. More f**king Rae Dunn.
This will open flood gates - already tons of non-compliant stuff is being listed (yes, the story about the piano and the funeral plot is true!). This will just turn the site into another eBay. I don't have problems with the search on there now, but I can just see it.

I don't mind it, actually. People already list all sorts of non-fashion stuff there, maybe this will make things a little more organized.
Also totally agree with you about f**king Rae Dunn !

That's true - maybe it's just giving into the inevitable. I'm still surprised I'm doing even as well as I am over there (which isn't spectacular, but give what my offerings are, not bad - a lot is stuff I can't get rid of on eBay and Etsy).

Glass and ceramic items are not permitted in the home market but as we know, it’s not going to stop people. I joined a Rae Dunn group to sell stuff at Christmastime and these collectors are beanie baby/longaberger style obsessed. There was a disdain about buying it on Poshmark because sellers didn’t package correctly or add enough postage and since it’s non-compliant Posh support would not help them on postage due or claims. They love mercari though.
I like Poshmark search but you have to just make sure you select the correct market before you hit search.

Did they improve their search function? Last time I tried to shop there, the search (as a buyer) sucked. That was last fall. Hopefully it's better by now? I think it’s better than eBay's. Last time I searched for lighters there, all they had were 37,035 matches. I was looking for a solid blue shirt on Poshmark and realized without item specifics, it’s rough. Detailed descriptions are required for a good search experience in that instance and can not find what isn’t there. It was a good reminder to add print, sleeve length, fabric, etc to the description. While the simplistic format does make it difficult to drill down to a specific item, I don’t feel it’s their actual search that’s lacking, but the absence of seller provided details.

I haven't been on there that long, but it seems that a lot of sellers think that brand is everything. At least that what is seems like when I see "dress" as a title and "Nice" as a description. Maybe it is for a lot of shoppers there. I prefer better descriptions and search terms - I've had some people 'like' some stuff I haven't shared in ages so there is something to it.
