I'm sorta overwhelmed with the followers & following numbers needed to get traction on Posh. Is there a reason to NOT use someone to help with following, sharing etc instead of doing all the endless clicking yourself? Just realized DS is up till 4 most nights and he'd gladly do some clickety-clicking for dear old Mom if I ask him. Being on the west coast and a late sleeper I never reach the east coast morning shopper Poshers and this could be a help. Yea or nay?

I don't see why you couldn't. AFAIK Posh doesn't restrict multiple logins from different locations.

I think that he could do it, but it is against the rules to use an app to do so. I try my best to follow everyone who follows me, and it takes hours per day. But I have found lately, that it is important to share your whole closet daily. With almost 500 listings, that takes me about 45 minutes. But it helps to get the stuff seen.

As long as he's not a bot, it's not a problem. He doesn't need to log into your account to share, just share from your closet. It takes me maybe ? 10 minutes to share my closet unless Posh is being sluggy. I spend 10 minutes on the feed and about 10 minutes following followers. I do it three times a day. All told it takes maybe 90 minutes per day for everything, then another 10-15 to post a few new listings.

Chap-how do you share your closet so fast? I use my cell which is faster than my desktop.

I use my desktop - using my phone would take me forever. I just hammer through it with 12 items at a time on my screen - takes a minute to get through each screen (unless, as I say, Posh is being sludgy). I don't have as much as it looks like, though, and not as much as you have. I checked and out of 528 listings that they show I have, I actually have only 294 that are left for sale.
ETA: I use my phone when I'm out and about, and it's just slow for me - sometimes it takes 3-4 taps to even share one thing, and it's just scroll...scroll...scroll. Maybe it's my phone or maybe I'm just fumbly-fingered.

Wow-you sure have had a lot of sales then! Not me. My desktop takes longer to share, darn.

I'm just gonna show him how I follow and like Poshers and stuff using my iPad. Since it's a one-by-one process it shouldn't be any different than when I do it; I'll just be asleep. He doesn't need to reply or do anything else. I only have 90+ items in my closet so it doesn't take me long to share them- I'm in awe of how people with 500+ share their items daily.

Thanks! I've been working harder on selling than I have for a long time; I'm really excited about selling there. The lowballers are a drag but I can live with that.

It's my understanding that when you follow from your own closet it pops the item to the top of search, but if someone else shares your items they just go out to the feed. So it would be better to have your son logged into your account when he shares.

That's good to know.
@shopafrolic - oh, but wait - I thought when I shared stuff from my own closet to my followers it just goes to my followers. When I list new stuff it goes into the general feed, and then I also share to my followers. How do I share my closet to get it to the top of the feed? Sorry - I'm still pretty new to all the nuances.

From what I've read (on blogs and in FB groups) when you share your own items they go to your followers feed, but are also popped to the top in search. So if someone searches for a black Eileen Fisher silk skirt size small, and you have one you've just shared it will be in the top of their search results. When someone else shares your stuff it goes out to their followers feed but are not bumped up in search results.

I just searched my Level 99 moto jacket and was 5th in the search results. Shared it, searched again and was 1st.

Ok, that explains the importance of sharing my own stuff. The feed is organic- powered by ourselves, without interference from an AI like Cassini on eBay. I'd better do my AM share. And I'm DEFINITELY gonna have my son Victor work the 'night shift' for me.
