I shipped an item (copied/pasted address) via first class & insured today. Buyer said it was wrong address. I feel it's a bit scammy? It was a very nice (underpriced) unique gold necklace. Buyer sells high end jewelry-wanted it cheaper and I offered a discount less than what he/she wanted. Buyer accepted and purchased. To save a bit I sent first class (Boston to CA) with full Ship insurance
I received email (same day) after I shipped from buyer that it shipped to a wrong address and I needed to contact USPS-I emailed buyer and said I shipped to address on file.
So I sent to Tradesy:
"My buyer said this has shipped to an incorrect address; however, I shipped to the address on file with Tradesy.
Please advise-it shipped first class and fully insured. If there is any discrepancy I should hope Tradesy and the buyer will comply with anything needed to satisfy an insurance investigation."
It happens I know-but it's awful when it's a pricy item and the buyer/third party won't help with satisfying insurance investigations. I did my part-and I really do not want to be out money (been there and done that).
I do have to say for the most part I haven't lost a whole lot-it's the scammers of higher priced items that hurt though. Any thoughts? Happy New Year to me:(

Sorry that happened. Well, you've already contacted Tradesy about it which is the most you can do, I think, at this time. Let us know what happens.

Depending on how much the sale is, would you want to invest the $10 or whatever the cost to stop the shipment in it's tracks by USPS and have it returned to you?

Thanks for the replies-Tradesy never replied. And since it wasn't my error I didn't feel compelled to recall the shipment (I know from past experience it doesn't always work even if the PO will take your money for the service).
Buyer told me Sunday it arrived in her local vicinity-I haven't contacted her yet today and need to check on the tracking updates.

What ended up happening?
I sold a $63 RL vest to a lady in CA and it was delivered today. She wrote and said that she didn't get it, I sent the tracking...she replied that was her old address.
I can't even find a place to email Tradesy, so I guess that I will call them.

I don't use Tradesy--do you not get paid until the buyer accepts the item?

It takes 3 weeks to get paid. I sent an email to Tradesy and heard back from them in only 2 hours!!! I sent the tracking and our messages. They replied that it wasn't my fault and that the buyer should have updated her address with them. And that they would take care of it. Hopefully....
