Maybe a lot of you know about this, but I found my notes which reminded me....
On Facebook, I have a lot of followers from foreign countries and I have no idea who they are...
To find them..go to Account Settings.....Blocking...Block Users...(type into the space)-"Following me". A list will show up with pictures of people following you for whatever reason. You can block them one by one. My list of blocked followers is now about 80 long.

Actually, they aren't following you. The message that comes up is:
"The list below shows results for people whose profile includes words similar to "FOLLOWING ME." These people may not be your friends or followers."
You are searching for people name or who are keyworded as 'Following Me' and Facebook is showing you people who have similar names to 'Following Me'.

The message says their profile (not necessarily their names) include words similar to "Following Me". So, you might not even see "following me" in their profile, but Facebook has decided that there is something in their profile that is close enough. What are some of the names you found? |

Because it's a search for 'following me' and their profiles have those two words, or close to those two words, somewhere in them. They aren't secret followers, you are bringing up people via search. In that same field, "watching me" and you get a bunch of random people who Facebook's search has determined that their profile has those words. I guarantee the ONLY reason we have different people is because you've already blocked some that came up on my list. |

Jeremy is right, you can put anything you want into that box and it will pop up people and make it look like they are following you but they really aren't. It's a huge hoax that went around a few years ago. They even had it on the news and interviewed some of the people from the US that kept popping up on peoples lists, totally innocent people that just happened to be picked up by FBs ridiculous search engine and suddenly hit thousands of blocked lists for being creepy pervs LOL
