Sorry to keep pestering the knowledgeable ones here, but I haven't found this in FAQ or the Posh manual. I read here that having too many 'not for sale' items can create problems (i.e., lowering in search or whatever). How much is 'too much' - I have about 8% of my closet on 'not for sale' because a lot has sold out on eBay or Etsy - today I had nine items sell from my ebay store, of which 6 were on Poshmark - I deleted one then decided I'd better just put 'not for sale' on the rest (I've had two returns from eBay where I had them not for sale on Poshmark - confused yet lol).
So - is there a threshold for this? I hate to redo work if I have returns from ebay/Etsy.
Thank you!

It was mentioned here but I haven’t heard it elsewhere. In the posh blog it encourages things like #poshfinds to make not for sale listings for things you’ve bought. Some people opt to make their signs, sold and iso stuff thousands of dollars so they show under the available search. It would be crappy if they punished people for using a feature that they offer. It doesn’t screw up the default search or anything.

Thanks for finding that - I read available info and check the blog, but that entry was in 2014. I guess I'll have to google for answers because it takes so long to find them on the site (I understand why).

I don't know that Posh has any sort of complex algorithms for search. I think it is just straightforward order listed, shared or price high to low or vice versa.
