I've just started selling on Poshmark and have been pleasantly surprised so far. I listed twelve things and sold three in just a short time. So I'm definitely going to continue there but I'm a little worried about packaging. Is it really the bid deal it's made out to be? How fancy do you all get with your Poshmark packaging? Thank you notes? Ribbon? I'm guessing I may have to up my packaging to something better than a zip-lock baggie in a poly-mailer?

None of that. I pack it the same way as on ebay. What's your ID there?

I use my plain white tissue, and got a roll of multi colored ribbons for $1 at the $1 store. And I use the Thank you eBay cards with another "thanks" sticker over the eBay name.
So no biggie actually, but did get a few compliments on the packaging.
You are doing a lot better than me-kickitup!

Stuff like blouses and jewelry get a little extra something...wrapped in white tissue paper. Jeans and boots get put in a box. Basically the same as I do on Ebay. I don't do ribbons, bows, or notes...no time for that.
When we have the time, we will share from each others closets.

I use plain tissue and was securing with a sticker. When I print my Poshmark labels it has a couple inches on each side and I had an aha moment. I use a big sharpie and write thank you and add a sticker by my name. That strip goes on the back to secure the tissue. Posh suggests gifts and all this special packaging but I don’t sell high enough items to do that. I have gotten love notes about great packaging and I think they were referring to it being secure since it’s not fancy. I made my first few sales fancy and didn’t get a pat on the back, so I stopped. Once in a while I’ll include a scarf or something from a bag sale that I wouldn’t be listing. I bought a NWT $10 dress and the seller went all out with tissue, card and gave me a free shirt that I totally love. I was a little embarrassed to be honest.

Once in a while I’ll include a scarf or something from a bag sale that I wouldn’t be listing. That's a really good idea! Since Poshmark labels are up to 5# you can add extra to the package without pushing it up to the next USPS level.

I used to add thank you notes to all my sales, but now only do it if it's a high priced item. I also don't do it for men's items (sexist of me, I suppose). I use my standard ebay packaging: a sealed ziploc bag inside a polymailer or box.
When I'm thrifting I keep an eye out for cute thank you cards and blank notes, for those times I do add a note.

I pack the same as I pack for everywhere else. No cutesy stuff, just professional. My standard method is a square of whatever size tissue folded inside the item (softens any wrinkles, protects buttons and makes it faster and easier to pack), flip-top clear bag and appropriate mailer or box. I also add a post card I made and had at Vista print thanking them for shipping with me on Posh, my closet URL, and that I do bundles and special offers. I've gotten candy and when I purchased an expensive jacket she sent me a really nice bracelet and thank you card, too, another sent a bracelet/earring set in a cute little bag - I always thank the seller in my love notes for the nice packing and 'extras'. I don't include extras myself, though.

I don't use tissue or ribbon for bulky items. Then go into a clear bag and then into the mailer.
AFA gifts, I don't have anything like that since I give all of that stuff to my Cancer Clubhouse for our free bingo gifts.
I was going to order more eBay thanks cards from Vista, but the price has doubled.....1,000 now costs $40. Crazy

I use white tissue, pop it into a rose printed polybag sealed with a thank you sticker and then put that into a priority mail tyvek or box, depending on what it is. I include an invoice with thanks for your purchase etc... at the bottom. I only add a free gift (generally a scarf) with bundles.

I use whatever color tissue I have on hand, a thank you sticker, and slide it in a gallon sized ziplock.

I've purchased two things - a dress was neatly rolled up and put in a (clean, but still...) plastic strawberry clam box which was then wrapped in tissue and put in a poly mailer. No gift or note.
A statement necklace was wrapped in a million sheets of tissue and then white newsprint and mailed in a poly mailer. It broke of course and I had to file for a refund (granted, did not have to return). Thank you card. No gift.
I stick in a zip lock bag and mail in a cute pink with pineapples poly mailer. No tissue. No ribbon. Thank you sticker on envelope.
For gifts I started with some packs of lavender organic bamboo handwipes that I had boxes of I'd got for free and couldn't sell. They ran out so I picked up some tissue purse packs with dumb millenial sayings like "find your fearless" and "be a unicorn in a field of horses" and some little spiral notebooks and pencils in multi packs from the dollar store. They come to .35ish each and they get either the tissues or a notebook/pencil. For more expensive purchases I have some cute floral change purses that weren't nice enough to sell but still OK. I think they were .50-.60.

I once got a note book as a goodie from a seller in Slovenia that had a teenage girl skipping along on the front and said "Happy Grille" - I've been looking for an opportunity to send that to someone but just can't let it go.
