Poshmark doesn't allow returns for fit or remorse, but of course with any online venue there will be abuse of the system with false claims and also sellers overlooking a flaw or making an error in the listing. I just learned that no matter the reason, if Poshmark approves a return, they provide the buyer will a label and pay for it.
I'm going to assume that no seller fees are deducted because you don't receive your funds if the buyer doesn't accept. You get your item back as if the transaction never happened. Is this correct?

I don't know but unfortunately will shortly. I think I have a scammer on my hands. She low balled me to death on a Ralph Lauren dress. Plus she kept asking about measurements and was not sure it would fit. I finally caved and sold it to her. But I had a bad feeling about her. She just opened a case saying the zipper is broken. There's no way. I just unzipped it off the hanger and zipped it back up before shipping.
I think she broke it so she could return it. I'm waiting on Posh to respond. I'll let you know when I find out.
If you have a similar situation we should compare and see if it is the same buyer. Long shot but you never know?

I don't currently have any issues. My only case I had open was last year before they let you read the complaint from the buyer. It had a flaw that was disclosed and I think that was the issue. Whatever it was Poshmark refunded the buyer and let her keep the top and I kept the money. I hope your buyer didn't intentionally break the zipper and just goes away. That's really awful.
I am just trying to understand their policies better.

That stinks for your friend. This is my first Poshmark case. I had one other when I first started to sell there. But she never sent it back.
It's really a tough way to make a living!

I've had 1 return on Posh that I told them to go ahead and allow. It was a bundle and I was not able to find one of the items so I sent them in 2 separate packages. Buyer freaked out and even though the second item showed up 2 days later 'she no longer needed it'.
Anyway, Posh did NOT charge me for a return label. Just took back the original funds.

I had 2 cases on Posh. One was my screwup, missed some spots on white pants. Another one was an idiot who claimed that the dress is "wrinkled", this is especially ridiculous, because the dress was made of CRINKLED fabric. She threw in "it smells" for good measure. Poshmark refunded us both.

Can you block people on Posh?

Post by kat on Aug 26, 2018 0:14:10 GMT
Yes, you can block, they will not be able to follow you, like, comment, make an offer, share or purchase any of your listings. If they try to interact with your listings, they will be notified that theyβve been blocked.

Bumping this because I have my first return coming. I'm pretty sure my measurements were correct because she laid her tape measure across the wrinkled front to prove her 17" claim. Posh 'helpfully' reminded me to include the listed size and garment measurements, which were included in the listing. I really don't care because I took an offer on the top 2 hrs after I listed it. I'll remeasure and list again for more. Any repercussions on a return for the seller?

Iβve never had a return but from what I gather from Poshmark groups is that nothing happens. Poshmark covers the postage and you get your item back.

That's what happened for me. Posh paid return shipping and the only thing showing is a "Cancelled" in my sales page.
This was actually a bogus return too. She said the jeans had a hole, uploaded a pictures of jeans with a hole, sent back my jeans. Guess what? NO HOLE! They probably didn't fit. There was a tiny fabric slub where some threads had been tied together. The picture she added to the case were definitely of a different pair. I added a picture of the actual "issue".
But on the plus side, I don't think it counted against me.

I have a situation now where a buyer purchased a pair of fluevogs for $240 or something, and is now claiming that the boots were misrepresented and not the size they were in the description. She wants "authorization for return with a complete refund." (Obviously not her first rodeo). I showed photo of size and even mentioned that they run small (exactly the size she claims them to be). I mentioned this in the case. I hope they find for me - I've already taken the DH out to the pub with some of the proceeds.

I actually mentioned in my description that Fluevog tends to run small, about a half size to a size. I also had a clear photo of the size. She just uploaded a photo of the 'size' - a photo of very obviously different pair of fluevogs. π I already commented on this. I'm limited to a cell phone right now, but when I get home I'll upload more photos. Her photo: My photo: I also uploaded this to the case.

Geez, a different size and perforated leather? Dumb, dumb, dumb.
ETA: Look at the size stamp and seam placement on these (Meteors) -- very similar to the pic she posted.

Now she's uploaded her same bogus photo, plus my photo, plus a photo of the boots in the box demanding that she be sent a return label, "there's nothing wrong with the boots they just don't fit." You know, I would be open to a return (though it's up to Posh) if she didn't muddy the waters by trying to lie so obviously.

Now that she's saying 'they don't fit', the return should be on Posh and not you, Chap. If I'm understanding Posh policy that is.

Poshmark never charges the seller or buyer for the shipping on returns.

I have had two return requests on Poshmark. One was a flawed item with the flaw clearly pictured and described. This was before Poshmark shared the case with the seller so I donβt know what her complaint was. I kept the money and Poshmark refunded her. The other was the - this must be a second or fake because I always fit in this size... story. Poshmark denied her request and I kept the money.

She's gone onto to the "How many times do I have to say that these boots are a size smaller than what they were represented to be per the description" and "Just send me the return label". I had addressed all of my remarks to Posh but finally I had to tell her that it's up to Posh to decide the case, I can't issue any labels or refunds, I don't have the money as it's being held.
Yeah, she went right out and said they didn't fit - I detail in my description that they run like a size 8 or so, even though they're labeled 9.
I'd think that Posh would decide in my favour. She's going to be really mad as she paid $220 for the boots BUT SHE SHOULD HAVE READ. Who knows, to placate her they made just pay her to return them to me.
I've already got the person who purchased an order of 18 items on eBay starting to file returns for one after another in dribs and drabs - she's up to four now.

Can you push them on how she's trying to deceive by uploading a photo of a different pair of shoes/boots?

I definitely did - citing that 'there must be some mistake' because the label is from a different pair of shoes and detailed exactly how that was then uploading a comparison photo. The photo was in response to their asking her to upload more photos. I think that's their stock answer and that's what she uploaded. After that she started in on 'just refund me'. Then she had some other random photos. I finally posted on the Posh subreddit and several said it had taken 5 business days and there's not much CSR coverage on the weekend, so that probably held it up. So I'll just stay tuned - I was wondering if they had just missed settling the case and it would hang in limbo.

Oh ho - Posh just found in my favour - the buyer left a note for me but I can't read it, it's locked up in the case and I don't want to read it anyway. I slapped that money into my bank account instanter lol. I swear, that 20% commission we pay to Posh is worth it!

YAY Chap! Glad you won that round :-) My return has been shipped, tracking says it's on time to be returned June 27th from where it is in Nashville the 26th. Hmm, I'm in Oregon and today's the 27th. Oh well, when it arrives I'll remeasure and relist for a few $ more... I took an offer too soon.

On the flip side (as a buyer), I was approved to return my very first purchase (not sure if it was the stains, the hole, the measurements or all three) but I will say this: they required that I ship within 2 days (includes Saturday). So, as a seller, I feel comfortable with buyers only having 3 days to report a problem and 2 days to get it mailed. Some buyers just can't get it together in that time frame.

There's a lot about Posh that makes it easier to sell than eBay, though it takes much more time to keep getting your stuff out there. My ebay sales still far exceed Posh (when I first started on Posh they were about 70% ebay/30% Posh, but not so now as that was fall/winter and I have mostly winter stuff. I only have about 70 items to share right now - the rest are out of season and going nowhere or sold somewhere or other.

The other good thing for sellers about Posh is that when a buyer makes an offer and seller accepts, it is automatically charged to either credit card or Paypal, no waiting for payment.
